#SpiritualSundays: What Do You See?

By Tarsha L. Campbell

I once heard a preacher say, You have to see it before you see it. What he was basically talking about was the importance of having a vision when pursuing any thing in your life. I personally think having a vision cant be underestimated. It is one of the foundational building blocks when creating the life you want and the life God has prepared for you.

Along with being a coach, Im also a graphic designer. In college one of the first things we were trained and conditioned to do was cultivate our vision. No matter how creative and gifted we thought we were, we couldnt just jump into a project before we took time to draw out some sketches. The sketches helped us map out what we wanted to produce and create.  In essence, we were envisioning the end result of what we wanted or could possibly create. I cant begin to tell you how valuable this small step has been, and continues to be in my businesses, ministry and personal life. Tapping into the power of vision helps me draw out whats in the Spirit realm. I have come to realize that as I utilize the power of vision, and move forward to create what I have seen, the divine forces of creativity comes along side me to make my vision a reality in the Earth realm. This is a powerful principle! Powerful!

Being able to envision a thing is apart of our spiritual DNA. Its one of the things that make us like God. When vision is coupled with divine creativity (creativity is another thing that makes us like God), the sky is the limit on what we can do and accomplish! I want to encourage you to cultivate the power of vision in you. Spend time with God and ask Him to show you what He envisions for your life. Then ask Him to activate His creative power in you to make your vision a reality.

Is it Time for a Shift? #Mindset Monday’s

Mindset: This is generally your attitude towards something or someone. You make up in your mind how you feel and that lays the foundation on how you deal or interact…..

If you have a positive outlook; then your attitude or mindset is positive!

If you have a negative outlook; then your attitude or mindset is negative!

If you don’t like someone or they don’t like you; then generally the interaction will be limited or negative.

If you’re consistently thinking something will go wrong; then most likely it will; because your thought process will generate what you think on the most.

Have you heard the saying, “You are what you eat?“; the same applies to how you speak and how your thought process is!

If your consistently speaking negative in and over your life; how does that make room for any positive to come in? And this applies to what others my say or speak in and over your life as well! There have been a few times where I’ve had to stop or correct others for speaking negativity into/over my life!

Words are very powerful; even when their negative! That’s why we have to “think before we speak”! “Death and Life are in the power of the tongue”. Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)

Is it time for a shift in your thinking process? In how you speak about/over yourself and others? How you interact with others? Does your mindset require a shift?

Change isn’t always fun; but in many instances it’s necessary…..

Kingdom Gals: Are You Your Sister’s Keeper?

women friends

I was scheduled to write on a different subject today but; this subject was heavy on my heart. I am just a push over for women no matter the race or background; to be on one accord! And when it appears that we’re starting to slip back into old territoryI can’t be one of those that just sit on the sidelines and let it go down!

Does anyone really know what the meaning of sisterhood is? Does anyone really care? Some of us use it to our advantage when we have events or something going on in our lives; which isn’t right! Some of us use it to our advantage when it aids us no matter the situation! But some of us look forward to it all year round; no matter what and are genuine about it! 🙋🏽

Sisterhood defined from the Merriam Webster Dictionary:

1a : “the state of being a sister
b sisterly relationship
2a community or society of sistersespecially a society of women in a religious order
3the solidarity of women based on shared conditions, experiences, or concerns”
friends_1

What does sisterhood mean to you?

Are you one that uses it to your advantage?

Are you one that looks forward to connecting with other women and creating a bond, relationship, or friendship?

Do you love yourself? Why do I ask? In order to love others; you have to first love yourself?

Do we all know that our #1 enemy; comes to steal, kill and destroy? Do we all know that he is the author of confusion? Do we all know that he thrives when we are at odds?

He doesn’t want us on one accord! He laughs at us every time we get at odds over the stupidest stuff!

1. She looked at me wrong.

2. She told someone this about me.

3. She looked at my boyfriend/husband.

4. She rolled her eyes at me.

5. She didn’t come to my event.

6. She didn’t loan me the money.

7. She borrowed something and never gave it back.

8. She misunderstood what I said.

9. She stole my idea.

10. She is friends with people I don’t like.

The list can go on; but are these valid reasons to be at odds with another woman, sister, friend, or daughter?

Do you remember when Jesus was betrayed by one of his disciples? (Read Luke 22 and Mark 16:7) The very person who was a friend? Sold him out for a few gold coins? When Jesus was resurrected from the dead; who did He ask for?

Did Jesus hold a grudge? Why should you hold a grudge or have a problem with the next woman? You don’t have to be bosom buddies if there is clearly a problem; but at least be able to talk it out and come to an understanding. We all have different personalities and none of us are perfect! And some of our mindsets are a little off but; we have to at least make the effort!

friends

As Christian Women we have to set the standard; we have to set the stage. We have to represent Our Heavenly Father to the fullest! We have to look like we are His children and act like we belong to Him.

Vision Board Party Reflections: Does Your Vision Match Your Character, Image and Outlook?

Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry”. Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NKJV)

How many of us give up before we allow our prays to be answered?

You’ve been praying for years to get married! You post sticky notes all over the house, reminding yourself of what he will look like and act like and then 1 year goes by and you give up!

You have settled for a guy that doesn’t line up with anything you’ve been praying for and guess what he doesn’t even want to marry you!

He just wants to kick it, hang out; Netflix and chill!!! Why? All because you can’t wait….
How many of you can relate to that scenario? How many of you will do the same thing and not allow your prayers to manifest?

Vision has many different meanings and depending on how you look at it; you will get a different outcome. Agreed?

You can look at something or someone with your natural eye and you can also look with your spiritual eye! Are you following along? Your natural eye will show you everything you need to see instantly, right? But, your spiritual eye is going to show you and spark a completely different visual of the same object or individual but in a whole different light! Does that make sense?

Let me explain it this way. You are looking to advance your career and you have sent out lots of resumes and are starting to get interviews lined up with some pretty good companies! Some are okay but others are great and you could really do well if chosen by the right company!

You begin to see yourself in each of these positions, the day to day begins to play out in your head and how your interactions will be. Some of the jobs may present a promotion and some may not! You can see this by researching the companies and reviewing their history. You are visualizing what you perceive your future will be and what company could be the right fit for you!

Many of us take it a step further and will look for and find many ways to visualize what we want our life to look like!

We will put together a personal vision statement! We may even come up with a personal mission statement!

Whatever we have to do that will keep us on track to bringing our thoughts and vision to life!

What better way to visualize your vision; than a vision board? Have you completed a vision board before? Why are vision boards important?

It’s simple! A vision board is a constant visible and visual reminder of the goals, hopes and dreams that You want for your life!

Many of us need a constant reminder of what we are working towards because of all the distractions in the world and our lives.

Many of us are moms, wives, business owners and with so much going on; stuff can get placed on the back burner of our minds!

But not only is a vision board good but so is the party! Now who doesn’t like to party? Who doesn’t like arts and crafts?

Who doesn’t like fellowship and meeting up with like-minded individuals? Women especially this is good to further advance friendship and sisterhood!

You don’t have to know each person in the room but before the end of the night you should!

For some odd reason women find it hard to interact with other women! They find it hard to compliment and appreciate another woman!

Some women are always looking for reasons why they don’t like another woman. You may be reading this and asking yourself “How did she go from talking about vision, vision boards, vision board parties and get to women not liking each other”?

Well let me tell you! My vision, my purpose and my passion; is to help create and foster better relationships with women for themselves as well as with other women!

We weren’t created or called to hate or look down on each other! That is a learned behavior! A learned behavior that has to be dismantled piece by piece!

So in creating a vision board you want to create a complete visual! Not only materialistic things!

But your personal aspirations as well! If you look again at the picture of my vision board created yesterday at a Vision Board Party that I attended.

You will see the various colorful outfits that Oprah is pictured in. I loved this image first because of all the colors and also what jumped out at me was Oprah was consistent!

She is smiling, happy and full of life in each pose! The only thing that changed was the color of the dress!

We as women lack consistency! We lack standards! We lack respect! We lack love! We lack discipline! We lack so much and are so stuck that it keeps us from advancing! We need to become whole! We need to create unity and have better relationships with one another!

Stop looking at other woman as trying to steal what you have or what you are trying to get! Your attitude, the way you operate and carry yourself throws it away!

I will not apologize for being passionate about something that is dear to me! The very thing I am writing about; I have had to experience! The hate from other women who don’t even know me! Don’t want to get to know me! But want to judge me!

We have to do better! You represent you! How do you want people to see you? What do you stand for? Who do you represent? You have to be consistent! You come out the door dressed from head to toe! Rocking the best money can buy; but how you carry yourself and how you interact and respond to others; doesn’t add up!

Vision is important! How do you want to be visualized?
