#KingdomGals: Speak Your Truth

Who are you? Who are you becoming? Many of us women may be walking around still finding ourselves; not all of us have it completely together.

Now is that a bad thing? Not entirely! Are you working on your issues? See; none of us are perfect! But we want to be working on becoming better! Right? Why do we want to stay stuck? Or boxed in? As women that are seeking a close relationship with God; we want to be transformed into the woman that can walk upright and become whole.

Becoming whole is knowing who we are in Christ and beginning to walk into it and stay focused on staying in close proximity. In doing this; we will have to look within and begin to sort out past issues and work through each one. In working through our past issues; we are clearing our path into future happiness! Who wants to be happy and free from past trials and tribulations? Our future shouldn’t have to sustain our past; it’s time to clear the way for God to work! Give Him room to bless you!

The Bible is a great tool for us to begin/continue to read; so, we can not only get encouragement, motivation, inspiration, empowerment, knowledge and understanding; but we will also gain insight into the foundation that has been laid out for us to follow!

There are endless stories for us as women to read such as Adam & Eve, Naomi, Ruth & Boaz, Lot’s wife, Sarah & Abraham, Hagar, Tamar, Mary & Joseph, Mary & Martha; etc.

Let me tell you Who I Am: I am a Single Woman that LOVES God and believes in HIS WORD!

Have you believed in something so much until it hurt? That is my dilemma right now; this very moment! I believe what the word of God says! I believe that God wants His children to prosper! I believe that God wants His children to live in abundance! I believe that God wants His children to live a life filled with love!

So, you may be asking; okay if you believe all of that; then what is your dilemma? None of this comes easy! The enemy isn’t going to allow any of us to just walk into God’s best for our lives! He started out with his foolishness in the Book of Genesis with Adam & Eve; the very first couple; why would we be any different? He went after Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; why would we be exempt? When you choose to walk with God; it’s not going to be an easy journey especially if you are in it for the long haul! It’s a fact that some fall away from walking with God; the crushing, the trials, the tribulations are for some; too much to bear so they retreat back into enemy territory. And then there are some of us that still dip back and forth and haven’t really made up our mind that we are really going to serve God; so, we get the best of both worlds; or so we think! But then there are those of us that don’t mind going through the flames because we know when we walk out ain’t no way that God allowed those flames to touch us, but we have to go through the experience to know HE got US!!

Can I be honest with y’all? I haven’t always been all in for God! I haven’t always believed in His word! I haven’t always read His word! I would’ve never thought I would be this woman that is now speaking to you today! I had allowed the wrong people speak into my life and I believed what they said to be true and let me tell you it wasn’t anything good either! The enemy came at me early in life and he sent people my way to tear me down and break me down; each and every time that he got an opportunity! And you know what? I allowed it because I didn’t know who I was; and whose I was! I had allowed so much destruction and distractions in my life that pulled me so far away from any good that God tried to bring my way; I was so used to negativity I wouldn’t even recognize anything/anyone good if it slapped me upside my head! But God; when He wants to get your attention; He will stop at nothing! And I am so glad that He never stopped trying to reach me; it’s only because of Him and His love for me; that I am still here.

It was at times a tug of war; God pulling me into the light and the enemy pulling me back into the darkness; but if you’re a follower and believer of God and HIS word then you should know; that  LOVE conquers all and God wasn’t giving up without a fight and guess what! The enemy had already been defeated; so, the battle was already won; I just had to grab hold of it and hold on for dear life and guess what I am never letting go and neither should you! No matter how it looks. No matter how it feels. Trust and Believe that GOD; is working it all out for your good!!

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, if you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32

Who are you? Who are you becoming? Many of us women may be walking around still finding ourselves; not all of us have it completely together.

Now is that a bad thing? Not entirely! Are you working on your issues? See; none of us are perfect! But, we want to be working on becoming better!

The Bible is a great tool for us to begin/to read; so we can not only get encouragement, motivation, inspiration, empowerment, knowledge and understanding; but we will also gain insight into the foundation that has been laid out for us to follow!

There are endless stories for us as women to read such as Adam & Eve, Ruth, Naomi & Boaz, Lot’s wife, Sarah & Abraham, Hagar, Tamar, Mary & Joseph, Mary & Martha; etc.

These stories are going to give us insight into how we should/shouldn’t handle ourselves as wives, sisters, friends, mothers; etc. For instance, when we read about Eve, we find out that in order to be blessed and stay in right standing with God; we have to submit to our husbands! Don’t you think if Eve listened to the instructions of her husband/and obeyed God; she would’ve lived a much better life? Don’t you think they would’ve still been in the Garden of Eden?

We also want to surround ourselves with other like-minded women that are on similar paths! She needs to be working towards reaching the goal on becoming whole! Yes we can inspire others along the way but if you have those that are constantly pulling you down to their level; it’s time to part ways.

We all won’t be on the same level but you want to be able to still advance without distractions from those that should be cheering you on and pulling you up as they pull themselves up!

Can I be honest with you? I haven’t always had it all together! Everything that God has blessed me to be able to do; at first I didn’t want to do any of this! Tell my stories; share of my losses, admit I did things wrong, look within and tell of me being a fool for so long; etc. I can go on for days!

But guess what? I wanted more for my life! I wanted to be made whole and that required work from me! I had to look at all my past issues and failures and deal with each one! I had to allow God to begin a new work in me and allow Him to fix whatever was broken and then I had to be obedient to the call and assignments; He placed before me. Was it easy? Heck No! But guess what? It has all been worth it!

I am not the same person! I don’t ever want to be her again! I love the new me! The one that God created me to be; I just had to get in right standing with me and allow Him to pour into me.

This is my truth! What is yours?

Christian Author Spotlight: Tonia Shalel

Now; how many single women out there are waiting on their Boaz? Do you know what you have to do while your waiting? Have you received instructions, clarity; or directions? How would you feel if there was a book that was written that would give you some insight into what to do; while you wait?

First of all; you may want to know who the author is; right?

headshot

Let’s find out:

Tonia Shalel is first and foremost a disciple of Jesus Christ. She is a best-selling author, life coach and speaker. She is the founder of Ruth and Boaz in the Meantime Ministries and is passionate about Christians discovering and walking in their purpose.
Having been blessed with the spiritual gift of encouragement in all of her career choices (teaching, Human Resources) she has mentored many people that the Lord has called her to walk with. Tonia’s purpose in life is to raise her daughter in the fear of the Lord and to model what an authentic relationship with Jesus looks like.

She is raising a future Proverbs 31 woman and takes that assignment very seriously. Additionally, her second purpose in life is to encourage Christian singles to passionately pursue their Kingdom assignment from the Lord.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from State University of New York, College at Old Westbury, a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Los Angeles, an HR Management certificate from The University of California, Irvine and holds a Life Coach certification from Life Coach Training Institute, accredited by the International Association of Certified Coaches.

So, now that we know more about the author; let’s find out why she wrote this book; in her own words:
The Lord laid it on my heart to begin writing this book shortly after My Beauty for Ashes was released.  As a woman of God who is preparing for God ordained marriage I wanted to share with other single Christian women my process. There were specific steps the Lord told me to take in order to prepare for my husband and in my book I share these tips with the reader.  (did you see that? Tonia is sharing her instructions that she received from God!) We can’t be out of order ladies; we have to listen to Our Heavenly Father and He will provide instructions! And many times it will be spoken through someone else!

Tonia has written this book specifically for:

Single Christian women who desire a God-ordained marriage.

Here is a brief description of the book;  Boaz, The Promise and The Wait:

Waiting on God can sometimes feel like forever for the single Christian woman. In Boaz, the Promise and the Wait, Tonia takes the reader through the necessary steps when waiting on God. Through biblical principles, she will empower you to pursue purpose and heal your heart while preparing for your God-ordained husband.

I will add this as well; I happen to have a copy of this book! Thank you Tonia! I happen to be a Single Christian Woman Waiting on God! And; let me tell you the “wait” does feel like forever; but, I do know that there is no-one in this world that can bless us like God can! So, I wait; and I love reading books like Tonia’s for encouragement, inspiration and reminders that we have work to do while we wait!
This is an excerpt that I love from the book: “Woman of God, you must heal in order to be whole and ready for your husband”. Tonia Shalel

Kingdom Gals: Becoming a Kingdom Woman

BECOMING A KINGDOM WOMAN: Part One, Your Value. Written by Raquel L. McClenehan

Take a hundred dollar bill.  Walk on it. Crumple it. Sneeze on it. Spit on it. Tear it in two…it never loses its value and neither do you!

Let’s revisit the origin of our Divine Design (Genesis 2: 21-25) and we rediscover just how wonderful it is to be a woman.

Throughout the ages women have been described in many ways.  Some of the more positive terms are: Adam’s Rib, The Better Half, The Weaker Sex.

But here’s one rarely mentioned in the context of power and strength, ezer kenegdo!

You may recall it as help meet in Genesis 2:18. But perhaps have never appreciated it in its full symbolic meaning. It’s a rare word used only when God wants to display unusual power. No wonder that in some bible camps it is controversial to relate it women.

I wonder why?

For years bible preachers and teachers have assigned Eve’s role as essentially negative or at best a sort of assistant or subordinate worker to Adam.

Yes, the Sistah messed up but the truth is that she was co-regent in Eden, important, valued, and of equal importance and essence!

She was Adam’s Completer, one who enabled him to be the leader God ordained to rule His kingdom!

Sin entered the world when they BOTH failed to realize their value!

Praise God for His amazing grace!  Humankind and his authority has been restored through Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).

His kingdom is not the Garden of Eden now but the entire world! Like mannequins in a store window our assignment is to live a life so attractive that we draw others into God’s kingdom of righteousness and grace.

Sounds intimidating doesn’t it?  Like walking all day in four inch heels, Chrystal says.  But with the right designer and the right material it is not only doable but comfortable!

So come on Kingdom woman-in-the-making embrace your inner royalty.  Command the respect God has accorded you by accepting who you are and loving it in all its uniqueness.

Do not allow anyone to demean you or make you feel inferior.  You are chosen, regal and a priestess of the Most High! (I Peter 2:9)

You are still needed and have a role and place to fulfill but can’t do it with heads bowed down in shame….if we must bow our heads let’s do so in prayer but then raise them up again in the spirit of an Ezer kenegdo woman.

A woman with value and strength on display!

Kingdom Gals: It’s Time To Forgive

How many of us are still living in the past?

Still can’t let go of old wounds?

Still won’t start a new chapter in our life?

Don’t you think it’s time to let the new you live? Haven’t you kept her locked up and locked away long enough?

We completely understand that you were done wrong! We get that; but it’s time to move past it! You’re eating your life away doesn’t help anyone; not even you! You drinking all the finest wines and liquors to drown away your sorrows; doesn’t help! You sleeping around with any and everyone that shows you just an ounce of attention; really doesn’t make you feel better.

All of this is destructive behavior that some may think soothes the pain; really doesn’t! All it does is open the door for the enemy to run havoc in your life; you’re giving him control to walk along side you to the path of no return!

Your body is a temple; that should be treated with love.

Temple: 1. any place or object in which God dwells, as the body of a Christian. I Cor. 6:19. (Dictionary.com)

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own”. (NIV)

The person or persons that has done you wrong has moved on! They aren’t sitting around giving any thought as to how they treated you; if they were that would warrant them caring and an apology would ensue! But has it? Have they told you that they were sorry? Have they asked you for forgiveness?

No, then why are you allowing them to control and ruin your life? The only life you have! You don’t get a do-over, you don’t get to try again after this one; this is it! Are you just gonna let it pass you by and let them Win?

The enemy only comes to Steal, Kill and Destroy! Isn’t it time you put a stop to that? Isn’t it time you take your life back?

Take it from someone that wanted to stop living in the past! I was tired of being stuck! I was tired of the enemy having power over me! I was in so deep I didn’t think I would be able to make it; But God! Anything is possible when you let Him in; we can’t make it on our own. Every day gets better but you have to take the first step!

The Single Woman Chronicles: My Journey

My newest book The Single Woman Chronicles Volume 1: God , Men & You. Is finally complete and ready for pre-order!!! http://www.paypal.me/tamaramccarthy/15

I am so very excited because I got so much out of my system with writing this book! Men can be very stressful beings if you allow them to be; and I had when I dealt with them.

I have been single for a little over eight years now and at first it got to me but then I realized that I had work to do; for me to become who I was created to be and a man would just be a distraction! Especially the wrong one!!!

I had my share of the wrong ones and going through this journey as a single woman I had to finally come to the realization that I was never in a real relationship! I had flings even with my kids father; I have never been in a committed relationship. That was hard for me to come to terms with; but when I did I was able to grow and mature into a grown woman….

Grown boys don’t commit! They occupy space and they waste your time! They use you, they take from you, they mistreat you, they abuse you, they degrade you and they break you. Allowing this to happen and jumping into another relationship is just looking for rejection and heartache because the new person isn’t equipped to fix you; only God can do that, if you allow him too…

The Single Woman Chronicles is my journey into the types of personalities that I encountered when dealing with grown boys: The Baby Daddy, The Preacher Man, The Momma’s Boy, The Liar, The Sugar Daddy etc. These are the grown boys you want to distance yourself from; you don’t want to marry them or even date them. Be mindful of all the signs and red flags that will show themselves; if you pay attention.

This book is for the Single Woman that have the desire to be married! While I highlight these types of guys I also give the single woman insight into working on herself so she will be ready for marriage. Some many of us are quick to jump into relationships without working on our issues from childhood and past relationships; why keep dragging it along with you? Don’t you want to be free?
