#KingdomGals: Speak Your Truth

Who are you? Who are you becoming? Many of us women may be walking around still finding ourselves; not all of us have it completely together.

Now is that a bad thing? Not entirely! Are you working on your issues? See; none of us are perfect! But we want to be working on becoming better! Right? Why do we want to stay stuck? Or boxed in? As women that are seeking a close relationship with God; we want to be transformed into the woman that can walk upright and become whole.

Becoming whole is knowing who we are in Christ and beginning to walk into it and stay focused on staying in close proximity. In doing this; we will have to look within and begin to sort out past issues and work through each one. In working through our past issues; we are clearing our path into future happiness! Who wants to be happy and free from past trials and tribulations? Our future shouldn’t have to sustain our past; it’s time to clear the way for God to work! Give Him room to bless you!

The Bible is a great tool for us to begin/continue to read; so, we can not only get encouragement, motivation, inspiration, empowerment, knowledge and understanding; but we will also gain insight into the foundation that has been laid out for us to follow!

There are endless stories for us as women to read such as Adam & Eve, Naomi, Ruth & Boaz, Lot’s wife, Sarah & Abraham, Hagar, Tamar, Mary & Joseph, Mary & Martha; etc.

Let me tell you Who I Am: I am a Single Woman that LOVES God and believes in HIS WORD!

Have you believed in something so much until it hurt? That is my dilemma right now; this very moment! I believe what the word of God says! I believe that God wants His children to prosper! I believe that God wants His children to live in abundance! I believe that God wants His children to live a life filled with love!

So, you may be asking; okay if you believe all of that; then what is your dilemma? None of this comes easy! The enemy isn’t going to allow any of us to just walk into God’s best for our lives! He started out with his foolishness in the Book of Genesis with Adam & Eve; the very first couple; why would we be any different? He went after Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; why would we be exempt? When you choose to walk with God; it’s not going to be an easy journey especially if you are in it for the long haul! It’s a fact that some fall away from walking with God; the crushing, the trials, the tribulations are for some; too much to bear so they retreat back into enemy territory. And then there are some of us that still dip back and forth and haven’t really made up our mind that we are really going to serve God; so, we get the best of both worlds; or so we think! But then there are those of us that don’t mind going through the flames because we know when we walk out ain’t no way that God allowed those flames to touch us, but we have to go through the experience to know HE got US!!

Can I be honest with y’all? I haven’t always been all in for God! I haven’t always believed in His word! I haven’t always read His word! I would’ve never thought I would be this woman that is now speaking to you today! I had allowed the wrong people speak into my life and I believed what they said to be true and let me tell you it wasn’t anything good either! The enemy came at me early in life and he sent people my way to tear me down and break me down; each and every time that he got an opportunity! And you know what? I allowed it because I didn’t know who I was; and whose I was! I had allowed so much destruction and distractions in my life that pulled me so far away from any good that God tried to bring my way; I was so used to negativity I wouldn’t even recognize anything/anyone good if it slapped me upside my head! But God; when He wants to get your attention; He will stop at nothing! And I am so glad that He never stopped trying to reach me; it’s only because of Him and His love for me; that I am still here.

It was at times a tug of war; God pulling me into the light and the enemy pulling me back into the darkness; but if you’re a follower and believer of God and HIS word then you should know; that  LOVE conquers all and God wasn’t giving up without a fight and guess what! The enemy had already been defeated; so, the battle was already won; I just had to grab hold of it and hold on for dear life and guess what I am never letting go and neither should you! No matter how it looks. No matter how it feels. Trust and Believe that GOD; is working it all out for your good!!

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, if you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32

#KingdomGals: Speak Your Truth!

Who are you? Who are you becoming? Many of us women may be walking around still finding ourselves; not all of us have it completely together.

Now is that a bad thing? Not entirely! Are you working on your issues? See; none of us are perfect! But, we want to be working on becoming better!

The Bible is a great tool for us to begin/to read; so we can not only get encouragement, motivation, inspiration, empowerment, knowledge and understanding; but we will also gain insight into the foundation that has been laid out for us to follow!

There are endless stories for us as women to read such as Adam & Eve, Ruth, Naomi & Boaz, Lot’s wife, Sarah & Abraham, Hagar, Tamar, Mary & Joseph, Mary & Martha; etc.

These stories are going to give us insight into how we should/shouldn’t handle ourselves as wives, sisters, friends, mothers; etc. For instance, when we read about Eve, we find out that in order to be blessed and stay in right standing with God; we have to submit to our husbands! Don’t you think if Eve listened to the instructions of her husband/and obeyed God; she would’ve lived a much better life? Don’t you think they would’ve still been in the Garden of Eden?

We also want to surround ourselves with other like-minded women that are on similar paths! She needs to be working towards reaching the goal on becoming whole! Yes we can inspire others along the way but if you have those that are constantly pulling you down to their level; it’s time to part ways.

We all won’t be on the same level but you want to be able to still advance without distractions from those that should be cheering you on and pulling you up as they pull themselves up!

Can I be honest with you? I haven’t always had it all together! Everything that God has blessed me to be able to do; at first I didn’t want to do any of this! Tell my stories; share of my losses, admit I did things wrong, look within and tell of me being a fool for so long; etc. I can go on for days!

But guess what? I wanted more for my life! I wanted to be made whole and that required work from me! I had to look at all my past issues and failures and deal with each one! I had to allow God to begin a new work in me and allow Him to fix whatever was broken and then I had to be obedient to the call and assignments; He placed before me. Was it easy? Heck No! But guess what? It has all been worth it!

I am not the same person! I don’t ever want to be her again! I love the new me! The one that God created me to be; I just had to get in right standing with me and allow Him to pour into me.

This is my truth! What is yours?

New Series: From the Desk of a Single Mom…

This is the first in this series that has been swarming around in my head for sometime now; I didn’t really know what my approach was going to be.

Being a single mom isn’t something you can just turn on or off. You can’t pray it away; you can’t lock it up and go back for it years later! This is constant, consistent and never ending.

Some people seem to think that it’s a simple task; but, it’s not! You always hear people saying “put it on your to-do list” “command your day”; blah! Blah! Blah! Single moms? Does any of that stuff work? Consistently?

Kids will stick a wrench and smack the hammer down on your little to-do list and your command your day mindset; lol they will crumble it to pieces!

One of my boys is the BOSS at getting mommy off-track! I try my best to start the morning off right; got my daily schedule. Get up to get all my stuff in order and when it is time for him to get ready it should be smooth sailing!

Well no; he has a new attitude every day! He doesn’t want to wear that, those socks don’t match with the pants, his shoes are touching his pants; omg it just amazes me the stuff he comes up with!

And all the while the clock is ticking away and he is bound to miss his bus; and guess what? I have to drive him to school if he misses that bus! Did I add that to my list? No, because it’s not my normal routine! I didn’t add that in my command your day priorities!

But, you know what I had to get my mind all the way right! I had to find a way to deal with this and not let it ruin the rest of my day! We as people tend to get off track when our normal routine gets messed up; our whole attitude changes! We take it out on our kids and others around us; when it’s a simple fix! Shift your mindset and your thinking! I know he is going to do this every single morning; lol and I’m ready for him! If he misses his bus; I happily drive him to school, because I prepared for it!

Many times, our kids just want our attention! They want that one on one time; and we have to carve out that time and give it to them.

This video was from this week. I couldn’t let the morning get the best of me; I had to shift my thinking! Yes it got off track. I wasn’t able to fix my lunch for the day, I forgot to make my smoothie, I woke up with a migraine/sinus headache and my son had missed his bus! But I got my mind right! I put a smile on my face! I grabbed some veggies out the fridge, took my son to school, stopped to get a smoothie and made my way to work; all with a smile on my face!

It’s all in our thinking and how our mindset is! If you think defeat; you will be defeated! If you think failure; you will fail! I don’t know about you; but I’m looking to win! Every single morning that I am blessed to wake up and be able to be the best mom that I can be to my kids; is a win in my book!

Look out there is more to come in this series…..

Kingdom Gals: Becoming a Kingdom Woman

BECOMING A KINGDOM WOMAN: Part One, Your Value. Written by Raquel L. McClenehan

Take a hundred dollar bill.  Walk on it. Crumple it. Sneeze on it. Spit on it. Tear it in two…it never loses its value and neither do you!

Let’s revisit the origin of our Divine Design (Genesis 2: 21-25) and we rediscover just how wonderful it is to be a woman.

Throughout the ages women have been described in many ways.  Some of the more positive terms are: Adam’s Rib, The Better Half, The Weaker Sex.

But here’s one rarely mentioned in the context of power and strength, ezer kenegdo!

You may recall it as help meet in Genesis 2:18. But perhaps have never appreciated it in its full symbolic meaning. It’s a rare word used only when God wants to display unusual power. No wonder that in some bible camps it is controversial to relate it women.

I wonder why?

For years bible preachers and teachers have assigned Eve’s role as essentially negative or at best a sort of assistant or subordinate worker to Adam.

Yes, the Sistah messed up but the truth is that she was co-regent in Eden, important, valued, and of equal importance and essence!

She was Adam’s Completer, one who enabled him to be the leader God ordained to rule His kingdom!

Sin entered the world when they BOTH failed to realize their value!

Praise God for His amazing grace!  Humankind and his authority has been restored through Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).

His kingdom is not the Garden of Eden now but the entire world! Like mannequins in a store window our assignment is to live a life so attractive that we draw others into God’s kingdom of righteousness and grace.

Sounds intimidating doesn’t it?  Like walking all day in four inch heels, Chrystal says.  But with the right designer and the right material it is not only doable but comfortable!

So come on Kingdom woman-in-the-making embrace your inner royalty.  Command the respect God has accorded you by accepting who you are and loving it in all its uniqueness.

Do not allow anyone to demean you or make you feel inferior.  You are chosen, regal and a priestess of the Most High! (I Peter 2:9)

You are still needed and have a role and place to fulfill but can’t do it with heads bowed down in shame….if we must bow our heads let’s do so in prayer but then raise them up again in the spirit of an Ezer kenegdo woman.

A woman with value and strength on display!

A House Divided: written by Tarsha L. Campbell #SpiritualSundays

spiritual-sundays

One of the greatest strategies of the enemy is to divide and conquer. Satan uses this tactic on many home fronts. He uses it in families, in businesses, in churches, in ministries, etc. The enemy knows if he can cause any entity to walk in division, he can infiltrate and overthrow it.

This stands true when it comes to you as an individual. You are the temple and house of God. You are a tri-part being, comprise of spirit, soul, and body. The enemy knows if he can get you in conflict within yourself, and in conflict with God’s will for your life, he can misalign you from your purpose and destiny. Satan is searching for opportunities to spoil your inner peace and disrupt the unity between you and God. He wants to divide and conquer by causing you to walk in confusion, fear, intimidation, and waver in constant unbelief when it comes to the promises of God concerning your life.

This month’s Next Step Coaching For Success comes to admonish you not to be ignorant of Satan’s devices lest he gains the advantage over you (II Corinthians 2:11). Be conscious of the schemes and plots of the enemy. Don’t let the evil one cause division among your members and misalign you from God’s purpose. Be determined to stay single-minded and focused on the plan of God for your life. Especially if you are in leadership, because others are following your lead.

Your Next Step Coaching For Success Minute:

  • Identify the parts of you that are in constant conflict
  • What are the root causes of the conflict?
  • Seek God for grace to overcome and to remain undivided in your members

Set the example; so others will follow…The Single Woman Chronicles…

What example are you setting? Do you have eyes on you? The Single Woman Chronicles God: Men & You is my personal journey of relationships with grown boys who attempted to play the role of grown men. I wasn’t complete! I didn’t love myself and I didn’t know my worth! Can you relate to that?

The Proverbs 31 scripture sets the tone; it gives an example in true form to the woman we should strive to be. When you arise do your children observe you? Do they wonder where you go; do they ask what you do? So many of us as moms go to the extreme to please a man but what are you doing for your kids? How do you go out of your way for them?

Can you honestly say you would give up dating the wrong type of guys to work on yourself and be there for your children 100%? I can honestly tell you yes I can and I have! I don’t date because there are so many grown boys appearing to be men but then the mask comes off; I no longer have the time or mind frame to deal with them. My kids and building upon my purpose means so much more! What about you?

The Single Woman Chronicles is still available for pre-order!!!
