Bid Me to Come: I Am A Water Walker!

Read: Matthew 14:22-33

✓ Are you a water walker? Are you a servant; a disciple of Jesus Christ?

✓ Jesus himself came to serve! Not only that He was about His Father’s Business!!

What are your goals and aspirations for 2020 and beyond? What are you going to do differently that you did in the previous years? Will you advance or will you continue to be idle and stagnant?

2020 is your year to stop hiding behind that mask; unveil your true self and take the mask off!

2020 is the year that people will begin to show their true colors.

2020 is your year to stop checking for folks that aren’t checking for you; and stop looking foolish!

2020 is the year for you to do a new thing; old stuff has no place in the new year!

2020 is the year that you decide to change!

2020 is the year that you decide to start walking in your purpose!

2020 is the year for you to get out of your own way!

2020 is the year for you to stop being co-dependent on other people and  live your life!

2020 is the year that you will be servant lead and stop being so selfish and self centered!

So we are in the last couple months of the new year and even though we have been in this pandemic; God has still been GOOD!! Stop letting this lies and negative people rule your life, your thoughts, your actions and the path that God has you on! You have to come off the start line like you know it’s going to be popping! Come out the gate like what up? I’m here and ready to take on the day; everyday! 2021 HERE WE COME!!

Lord as I take the first step toward getting out of the boat; I pray that you bid me to come! Show me the way the right way to go; don’t allow me to stray to the left or to the right! Keep my path straight in the direction leading right to you; in your son Jesus name I pray Amen!

Standing Out in an Extroverted World

“I don’t fit in and never will. God has created me to stand out”. Tamara McCarthy

This quote came to me just this week as I was sitting at my desk at work. I love it when out of nowhere some kind of inspiration is downloaded into my mind, spirit and my soul. It made my day and put a smile on my face; has that ever happened to you?

I have always knew I was different! I have never liked crowds, I always hold up the walls at parties; and I don’t mind being alone. Some people will lose their minds when they are left alone; not me I enjoy my peace and quiet.

But when God calls you out of your comfort zone you do what you are supposed to do! Obey..

Kingdom Gals: Do you Love Yourself?

On the surface; this seems like an easy question! But if you allow yourself to go beneath the surface; you’ll really gain more insight into finding your answer.

Just recently I was having a conversation with a co/worker and she made a statement that made me think; “we are our own worst critics” she went on to say this “we judge ourselves sometimes more than others judge us; we tend to use more negative self talk than positive”!

While this may be true for some; is it true for all? If we are going through a good season in our lives we tend to be more positive. We have joy and happiness just busting from the seams; why would anything negative have room to pour out of us.

Now when we are going through some trying times we just may have some negativity laying around to pick up and add it to our already overwhelming situation but depending on our spiritual journey; we can bounce back rather quickly; but it’s an individual choice.

When we know who we are; we are fully able to accurately answer this question. Remove the lies and hold on to your truths! You are loved; even when you don’t feel like you are. So again I ask you; do you love yourself?

#KingdomGals: Speak Your Truth

Who are you? Who are you becoming? Many of us women may be walking around still finding ourselves; not all of us have it completely together.

Now is that a bad thing? Not entirely! Are you working on your issues? See; none of us are perfect! But we want to be working on becoming better! Right? Why do we want to stay stuck? Or boxed in? As women that are seeking a close relationship with God; we want to be transformed into the woman that can walk upright and become whole.

Becoming whole is knowing who we are in Christ and beginning to walk into it and stay focused on staying in close proximity. In doing this; we will have to look within and begin to sort out past issues and work through each one. In working through our past issues; we are clearing our path into future happiness! Who wants to be happy and free from past trials and tribulations? Our future shouldn’t have to sustain our past; it’s time to clear the way for God to work! Give Him room to bless you!

The Bible is a great tool for us to begin/continue to read; so, we can not only get encouragement, motivation, inspiration, empowerment, knowledge and understanding; but we will also gain insight into the foundation that has been laid out for us to follow!

There are endless stories for us as women to read such as Adam & Eve, Naomi, Ruth & Boaz, Lot’s wife, Sarah & Abraham, Hagar, Tamar, Mary & Joseph, Mary & Martha; etc.

Let me tell you Who I Am: I am a Single Woman that LOVES God and believes in HIS WORD!

Have you believed in something so much until it hurt? That is my dilemma right now; this very moment! I believe what the word of God says! I believe that God wants His children to prosper! I believe that God wants His children to live in abundance! I believe that God wants His children to live a life filled with love!

So, you may be asking; okay if you believe all of that; then what is your dilemma? None of this comes easy! The enemy isn’t going to allow any of us to just walk into God’s best for our lives! He started out with his foolishness in the Book of Genesis with Adam & Eve; the very first couple; why would we be any different? He went after Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; why would we be exempt? When you choose to walk with God; it’s not going to be an easy journey especially if you are in it for the long haul! It’s a fact that some fall away from walking with God; the crushing, the trials, the tribulations are for some; too much to bear so they retreat back into enemy territory. And then there are some of us that still dip back and forth and haven’t really made up our mind that we are really going to serve God; so, we get the best of both worlds; or so we think! But then there are those of us that don’t mind going through the flames because we know when we walk out ain’t no way that God allowed those flames to touch us, but we have to go through the experience to know HE got US!!

Can I be honest with y’all? I haven’t always been all in for God! I haven’t always believed in His word! I haven’t always read His word! I would’ve never thought I would be this woman that is now speaking to you today! I had allowed the wrong people speak into my life and I believed what they said to be true and let me tell you it wasn’t anything good either! The enemy came at me early in life and he sent people my way to tear me down and break me down; each and every time that he got an opportunity! And you know what? I allowed it because I didn’t know who I was; and whose I was! I had allowed so much destruction and distractions in my life that pulled me so far away from any good that God tried to bring my way; I was so used to negativity I wouldn’t even recognize anything/anyone good if it slapped me upside my head! But God; when He wants to get your attention; He will stop at nothing! And I am so glad that He never stopped trying to reach me; it’s only because of Him and His love for me; that I am still here.

It was at times a tug of war; God pulling me into the light and the enemy pulling me back into the darkness; but if you’re a follower and believer of God and HIS word then you should know; that  LOVE conquers all and God wasn’t giving up without a fight and guess what! The enemy had already been defeated; so, the battle was already won; I just had to grab hold of it and hold on for dear life and guess what I am never letting go and neither should you! No matter how it looks. No matter how it feels. Trust and Believe that GOD; is working it all out for your good!!

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, if you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32

There are endless stories for us as women to read such as Adam & Eve, Ruth, Naomi & Boaz, Lot’s wife, Sarah & Abraham, Hagar, Tamar, Mary & Joseph, Mary & Martha; etc.

These stories are going to give us insight into how we should/shouldn’t handle ourselves as wives, sisters, friends, mothers; etc. For instance, when we read about Eve, we find out that in order to be blessed and stay in right standing with God; we have to submit to our husbands! Don’t you think if Eve listened to the instructions of her husband/and obeyed God; she would’ve lived a much better life? Don’t you think they would’ve still been in the Garden of Eden?

We also want to surround ourselves with other like-minded women that are on similar paths! She needs to be working towards reaching the goal on becoming whole! Yes we can inspire others along the way but if you have those that are constantly pulling you down to their level; it’s time to part ways.

We all won’t be on the same level but you want to be able to still advance without distractions from those that should be cheering you on and pulling you up as they pull themselves up!

Can I be honest with you? I haven’t always had it all together! Everything that God has blessed me to be able to do; at first I didn’t want to do any of this! Tell my stories; share of my losses, admit I did things wrong, look within and tell of me being a fool for so long; etc. I can go on for days!

But guess what? I wanted more for my life! I wanted to be made whole and that required work from me! I had to look at all my past issues and failures and deal with each one! I had to allow God to begin a new work in me and allow Him to fix whatever was broken and then I had to be obedient to the call and assignments; He placed before me. Was it easy? Heck No! But guess what? It has all been worth it!

I am not the same person! I don’t ever want to be her again! I love the new me! The one that God created me to be; I just had to get in right standing with me and allow Him to pour into me.

This is my truth! What is yours?

The Surprising Truth About Being Single.

So, you’re probably wondering what this surprising truth is? Well, I think we all as individuals have that surprising truth that will make others shake their heads in disbelief. I think it really depends on where you are mentality and if you’ve been keeping yourself busy. Some people may be lonely, they may be out there going on dates each and every weekend, they may be sleeping around, they may be juggling more than one person along; I can go on and on but let me tell you about my surprising truths.

And, it also depends on if you have dealt with any past issues; in your life. As well, as past relationships! For me, one of the surprising truths is: that I am not lonely! Why do people assume that you’re lonely if you’re single? Lol, I’m an introvert; so being single bothers me not one bit! I love my peace and quiet! And coming out of domestic violence relationships; I very well needed and enjoy a stress-free lifestyle. Who likes getting punched around and called all kinds of un-pretty names? Not me!

6f506ce2-9854-46ac-8d91-e535448fae1b-5380-000004e7df4c697f

Coming out of bad relationships; you want to take some time for yourself to work through everything that you experienced; so, it doesn’t repeat itself in the next relationship. Why jump right into the next relationship and you haven’t healed from the previous one first? Everyone goes through different experiences so yours may not match mine but taking whatever issue it was into a new relationship; just spells disaster; especially if that person has it together and even if they don’t; the outcome may not be pretty.

When you do your work; you’re able to pick up on signs and signals early on and will have a clear mind; to make the right decision on how to proceed.

trails and tribulations

Back to the surprising truth; people that don’t know your full story of why you’re single in the first place; will assume and jump to conclusions!  Not too long ago an acquaintance of mine sent me a video and the video insisted that I would be single for the rest of my life; if I continued to wait on God. Now, this older lady knows that I am a Christian; knows that I am an author; but hasn’t read any of my books. But, decided to send me this video that went against everything that I believed! Now I haven’t responded to her because some people simply don’t warrant a response.  She claims to be a Christian as well, but her behavior and speech doesn’t always match up.

The video went on to say a number of things that I won’t even repeat; but this woman would’ve known this video wouldn’t seat well with me. When you take the time to get to know people on a personal level you know how to approach them! I believe that whomever my husband will be; will Find ME!! That’s what the Bible says: Proverbs 18:22 “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD.” (NIV)

I am not part of that foolish that is going on with women asking men to marry them!! You will not hear that mess come out my mouth! I don’t care who he is!! I don’t care how times have changed! I am still old fashioned!! Men ask Women to marry Them!!

Adam chose EVE!! Yes, God created HER, but Adam had to Like What He Saw!! Genesis 20:21-22So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So, the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.” (NIV)

Can you imagine going through guy after guy to find the one that will eventually like and want to fall in love with you? Look, I been on that downward spiral before; its time consuming; I have more meaningful things to do with me time! Like raise my kids! Who’s going to raise them; if I’m in the streets chasing after Grown Boys?

Not all of us are Godly Women; I get that, and everyone has their opinion and we all have a choice! But, we have to do better at approaching and assuming! Have a conversation with people; get to know who they are, what they believe, share your testimony, lend your hear; share some encouraging words!

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000038_00062]

Some other reasons I am single; I don’t want all these strange men around my kids. Your kids see and mimic what you do! I wrote about it in one of my books; of wanting to break the cycle! I don’t want my kids to live the life that I was living when I had them! I want them to see a different; more cleaner version of me! We, as a family are at our happiest and I don’t want to mess that up! When we as women get into a relationship and it turns violent; our kids see that! How do you think that is going to impact their lives? Why continue if you know it can affect them? If I have to be single until they are all grown; then so be it! They got pedophiles out here who will play on your emotions just to get to your kids! My kid’s safety outweighs my happiness! As women we can sometimes be blinded to the things that are happening right in front of us because we think we are happy and have this awesome person in our lives.

Many of us lose our way when we get into the wrong relationships! We only have one life; why waste it on people who are only out to use and abuse you? When we wait on the right person to come into our lives; we are able to work on ourselves and whatever gifts we have been blessed with! I never would’ve imagined being an author of 16 books and counting, writing a blog that reaches people internationally, being able to speak life into other women that have been in similar situations as me, being able to change my life from bad to good, being able to be single and happy for over 11 years; I can really keep going but I think you get my point!

The_Single_Woman_Chr_Cover_for_Kindle

I am not going to allow anyone to push me back into an old lifestyle! I am not going to allow anyone to hinder my growth! I am not going to allow anyone to diminish my shine! I am not going to allow anyone to box me in! When I said Yes to God, I didn’t fully know everything I was getting into! I didn’t know the attacks would be many; people who don’t know you and your story will came at you from every direction. Be ready and be on guard! When you decide that you want Better for your life; people will take that as a personal insult; they will look at you like you believe you are better than them! I don’t believe I am better than anyone; I just want to be My Best Version of Myself!

So, you see; the Surprising Truth About Being Single depends on You. Where are you at in your journey? You may be tired, you may be ready to just marry the next person that speaks to you; we all have a story to tell. What’s yours?

Secure The Bag! #SpiritualSundays

By a show of hands; who has heard of this saying that is going around? “Secure The Bag”?

I have been hearing this all over social media! Everybody has been chiming in and putting their own spin on it! I’m getting emails from individuals I have subscribed too; telling me to “Secure The Bag”!!

Me being an Introvert; many times something just sticks with me and I allow it to marinate and after a few hours, few days, few months; you get me right?

That thing comes back; since I had time to process it, analyze it; and take it apart! And this is what came to my mind; just a couple days ago: “I keep hearing all this talk about “secure the bag!” But, what about “Secure Your Soul!” All the bags in the world won’t be able to save you; if your Soul is jacked up!!!

Does that make sense? It did to me….. You see when you get to living your life a certain way and you are going about doing things differently! You aren’t worried and don’t partake in the ways of the world!!!

2 Corinthians 5:17 says this: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (NKJV)

1 Timothy 6:10 says this: “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (NKJV)

Mark 8:36 says this: “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” (NKJV)

Now the next scripture I am sharing is only part of the story; I need you to take a look at the whole part!!! Matthew 4:1-11; you need to read this in its entirety but let me share the part I want to highlight!!

Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” Matthew 4:8-9 (NKJV)

Y’all I almost fell out when I heard this!! I was driving; on my way to work, listening to the audio Bible and when I heard this!! It had been in my spirit for a minute! I’ve seen it before! But, for some reason hearing it on that particular day made it so real!!

The enemy out here tricking folk!! Got them believing that God is rewarding them for doing something good!! The enemy rewards too!! Did y’all know that? Who knew this and didn’t share it with others?  Who?

Look if you read the whole scripture; Matthew 4:1-11; I promise you this will all make sense!

Even though Jesus was growing tired! You have to remember He had fasted for 40 days and 40 nights! Jesus was tired and hungry!! How many of us get tired, get weary and hungry and just want to to be finished? Just tell me what I have to say; so I can go and sleep? Just tell me what you what me to do; so I can go eat?

He still had the Word of God; on his lips!! Each time the enemy came at him; He was ready for him!! Each and every time; He never gave in! He never threw in the towel!! How many of us when we get tired, frustrated and disgusted; forget what we heard? Forget what we read? Forget what we know to be true?

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)

Look y’all; I know times be hard and nobody likes to be walking around here broke. But, just make sure; what and who; you are accepting into your life! Make sure your going down the right path and you won’t one day regret the decision that you’ve made. Know whose team you are signing up to be on!!

Now, if you still want to “Secure The Bag”; make sure it’s a duffel bag!! Tell the enemy I’m packing up; I’m moving out and you will never see me; ever again!! I’m going back home; where I belong!!! #securethebag

From the Desk of a Single Mom: Our Very 1st Home….Thank You Jesus!!

Can I brag on My God! God did it! We sometimes want to take credit for the things that happen in our lives! But, I can’t and won’t do that today! Some of us just won’t give credit where it is due! I won’t be one of them!

On 5.11.18 my children and myself were able to secure our very 1st home! That’s a big blessing; one that we can’t take any credit for! So many of us fail to realize that we don’t have total and complete control of what takes place in our lives! Yes, we can get a job and make a bunch of money (some of us) and we can buy all the nice shiny sparkling things; that people will ooh and ahh over but none of that makes any difference if you don’t have God in your life!

Buying a house isn’t a fun and easy process! If you got cold hard cash; then maybe you won’t get the headache! But, when you have to deal with sellers, mortgage companies, banks; etc those headaches are numerous! Your credit score has to be on point! Your bank account has to be at a certain level because you have fees on top of fees you will have to pay out. Did I forget to mention that I didn’t go through one of those 1st time home buyers class? I skipped all over that step; lol! I dove in head first and had no idea what I was getting myself into!

My parents where home buyers before but I was a child when that process took place for the first time; when my dad brought another house years later; he made it seem so easy I didn’t even ask about all the mishaps that could take place. I didn’t tell too many people I was looking to buy because:

  1. I didn’t want to hear any horror stories!
  2.  or do you think your ready?
  3. or really; you think you can handle that?
  4. I don’t know if the market is good for that.
  5. or people counting my coins!
  6. and I didn’t want anyone telling me what God couldn’t do!

I don’t know about you but as a Single Mom; people always feel like you don’t have it all together and need their two cents! Now, don’t get me wrong I love some good sound advice but don’t treat me like I haven’t been raising my kids all this time by myself! I know what I can and can’t handle! And I got a pretty good head on my shoulders and a big decision like this I checked with my Heavenly Father first! He knows what the forecast is before any of us even open our eyes!

You see, when we moved into our last apartment 06.08.17 I wrote a note and put it on my prayer wall! It basically was me saying this had to be it with this apartment living! I was done with it! I was tired, my kids were tired and we wanted better for our lives! We grew tired of all the rules that these apartment communities enforced! They basically had the keys to come and go as they pleased while you were paying the rent! Every time we turned around they were having inspections for this and for that; people all up in your living space. You could park here; but you can’t park there! You can have these many guests over and they have to leave at this time! They charged you for everything; gym key, washer and dryer, updated appliances; jeez really! I was putting out so much money and I knew there had to be a better way.

I would often dream about the day when we could have our own; I prayed for it, I put it on my vision boards; until the last vision board that I did, I just felt it was already done! No need to look for and paste these pictures of houses and what they would have inside of it anymore!

We started the journey almost 6 months into living in that last apartment. I called up a friend that also happens to be a realtor and told him I was ready to start looking for a house! I didn’t know chicken squat about what I needed to do or have; I just knew I was ready! He began to send me listings and gave me the name of a guy at the mortgage company and we were on our way! I wish I could tell you that it was smooth sailing; it wasn’t! The whole process was stressful! Any time you want to upgrade your life; the enemy will be on full alert and the attacks will begin! How dare you think that you deserve more? Better? How dare you?

Let me tell you something! I kept on full steam ahead! My Heavenly Father sent his “only begotten son so that we can have life and have it more abundantly” I wasn’t backing down! And you know some may say; well where is this house? Is it up on a hill? Is it 2 stories high? Is it in a gated community? Does it have those high vaulted ceilings? Are there chandeliers hanging throughout? All that is materialistic and isn’t everlasting! God knows I am a simple chic and that the memories we will build here are far more valuable then all that material stuff!

When I walked into this home; I felt at HOME! I didn’t want to leave! I could feel the joy radiating off the walls! I could feel the laughter! I could feel my kids feeling safe and secure! I could feel God blessing us over and over again! We put in an offer and it was accepted! Yes God! But, I have to add there were many houses before this house! Some far more better, had much more land, had even more rooms and space! There was 1 house that was completely renovated! Had the biggest backyard I’ve ever seen and a garage with the exact washer and dryer set I’ve always wanted; but I didn’t have any of those wonderful feelings I experienced in the home we chose! I wasn’t going to settle because my eyes were fascinated at what I saw! The enemy knows what you like; but God knows what you need!

Every morning I get up I still can’t believe it! Our very 1st Home; I could run, yell and scream and not have to worry about anyone living under us calling and complaining about the noise! I don’t have to wait to vacuum until its almost afternoon time because you might disturb the neighbors! The neighborhood is so calm and peaceful! My neighbors are nice and friendly! My kids haven’t fought not once since we moved in! I have an island in my kitchen! Every place we have lived in the past 5 years the kitchen was so small; we all couldn’t fit in there! Our kitchen now can fit all the kitchens from all our past places! Only God!

Let me tell you this if nobody else has: ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WHEN YOU HAVE GOD IN YOUR LIFE!

I’m still a Single Mom, still haven’t found the right career path but let me tell you this; we aren’t living in another apartment because God said it was time to advance!! I don’t question when God moves anymore! I used to get frustrated with him; like come on God when is something going to happen! When will I get married? When will I stop living paycheck to paycheck? When will my books start being on women’s bookshelves and in their hands? When? Our time isn’t God’s time! When He says it is time; then we better be ready! Are you ready? Are you ready to advance? What actions are you taking? All I had to do was “write the vision and make it plain!” NO MORE APARTMENT LIVING IN 2018!

Kingdom Gals: It’s Grooming Season; From Princess to Queen

The Book of Esther

Many of us want to reach the level we desire but don’t want to go through the grooming process!

Your walk! Your speech! Your attitude! Your response! Your reflex! Your mindset! Your heart! Your soul! Your spirit! Your temple (body)! All needs to go through a grooming process! A detox! The old yucky stuff needs to be removed! The language you used to speak in your previous level doesn’t have access in your next level!

We are talking upgrade! The old stuff doesn’t have access anymore; it has expired. Are you ready for your grooming process? Are you strong enough for the detox? There are no cheat days!

How are you living?

Who are you following/allowing to speak into your life/who is influencing you?

Jesus had to go through the grooming process! The disciples had to go through the grooming process! Why should you be any different?

Take a look at the book of Esther and see the process that Esther had to go through and highlight Esther 2:12: “Each young woman’s turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus after she had completed twelve months’ preparation, according to the regulations for the women, for thus were the days of their preparation apportioned: six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with perfumes and preparations for beautifying women”. (NKJV)

Did Esther go through this process just for herself or were there others depending on her? You see the process from Princess to Queen isn’t just a journey for yourself; there are those that need your help and require your assistance. When God calls you out from that fiery pit; that dark gloomy place you have been residing at; he isn’t just doing it for you! He is giving you purpose; that passion that will burn from here to the ends of the world; that only you can fulfill.

As a queen; not only do you have to make decisions but you also have to be able to discern and listen to instructions! When Esther was younger she lost both her parents and her uncle took her in and treated her as his own. He treated her like a princess the whole time; so it was easy for her to step into her role as queen! He checked on her the whole time she was going through her grooming process! So when the word came to her that he was in need; her people were in need; how do you think she responded? Read Esther 4-7 and see what took place.

What cause is God grooming you for?

What has God called you to do?

What purpose has He placed on your heart?

What gifts has He placed in your hands?

Are you created to be perfect? No, but the grooming process is necessary and a necessity! There are things that  you need to shed that will just hinder your progress and wear you down! What if Esther hadn’t been prepared and didn’t have the right mindset through the whole grooming process? What if she wasn’t able to answer the call? You will find and see that even the people that stood by you the whole time will one day doubt you! But as a queen; that went through the process; you will always rise to the occasion; just like Esther did!!

Kingdom Gals: Are You Your Sister’s Keeper?

women friends

I was scheduled to write on a different subject today but; this subject was heavy on my heart. I am just a push over for women no matter the race or background; to be on one accord! And when it appears that we’re starting to slip back into old territoryI can’t be one of those that just sit on the sidelines and let it go down!

Does anyone really know what the meaning of sisterhood is? Does anyone really care? Some of us use it to our advantage when we have events or something going on in our lives; which isn’t right! Some of us use it to our advantage when it aids us no matter the situation! But some of us look forward to it all year round; no matter what and are genuine about it! 🙋🏽

Sisterhood defined from the Merriam Webster Dictionary:

1a : “the state of being a sister
b sisterly relationship
2a community or society of sistersespecially a society of women in a religious order
3the solidarity of women based on shared conditions, experiences, or concerns”
friends_1

What does sisterhood mean to you?

Are you one that uses it to your advantage?

Are you one that looks forward to connecting with other women and creating a bond, relationship, or friendship?

Do you love yourself? Why do I ask? In order to love others; you have to first love yourself?

Do we all know that our #1 enemy; comes to steal, kill and destroy? Do we all know that he is the author of confusion? Do we all know that he thrives when we are at odds?

He doesn’t want us on one accord! He laughs at us every time we get at odds over the stupidest stuff!

1. She looked at me wrong.

2. She told someone this about me.

3. She looked at my boyfriend/husband.

4. She rolled her eyes at me.

5. She didn’t come to my event.

6. She didn’t loan me the money.

7. She borrowed something and never gave it back.

8. She misunderstood what I said.

9. She stole my idea.

10. She is friends with people I don’t like.

The list can go on; but are these valid reasons to be at odds with another woman, sister, friend, or daughter?

Do you remember when Jesus was betrayed by one of his disciples? (Read Luke 22 and Mark 16:7) The very person who was a friend? Sold him out for a few gold coins? When Jesus was resurrected from the dead; who did He ask for?

Did Jesus hold a grudge? Why should you hold a grudge or have a problem with the next woman? You don’t have to be bosom buddies if there is clearly a problem; but at least be able to talk it out and come to an understanding. We all have different personalities and none of us are perfect! And some of our mindsets are a little off but; we have to at least make the effort!

friends

As Christian Women we have to set the standard; we have to set the stage. We have to represent Our Heavenly Father to the fullest! We have to look like we are His children and act like we belong to Him.
