Secure The Bag! #SpiritualSundays

By a show of hands; who has heard of this saying that is going around? “Secure The Bag”?

I have been hearing this all over social media! Everybody has been chiming in and putting their own spin on it! I’m getting emails from individuals I have subscribed too; telling me to “Secure The Bag”!!

Me being an Introvert; many times something just sticks with me and I allow it to marinate and after a few hours, few days, few months; you get me right?

That thing comes back; since I had time to process it, analyze it; and take it apart! And this is what came to my mind; just a couple days ago: “I keep hearing all this talk about “secure the bag!” But, what about “Secure Your Soul!” All the bags in the world won’t be able to save you; if your Soul is jacked up!!!

Does that make sense? It did to me….. You see when you get to living your life a certain way and you are going about doing things differently! You aren’t worried and don’t partake in the ways of the world!!!

2 Corinthians 5:17 says this: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (NKJV)

1 Timothy 6:10 says this: “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (NKJV)

Mark 8:36 says this: “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” (NKJV)

Now the next scripture I am sharing is only part of the story; I need you to take a look at the whole part!!! Matthew 4:1-11; you need to read this in its entirety but let me share the part I want to highlight!!

Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” Matthew 4:8-9 (NKJV)

Y’all I almost fell out when I heard this!! I was driving; on my way to work, listening to the audio Bible and when I heard this!! It had been in my spirit for a minute! I’ve seen it before! But, for some reason hearing it on that particular day made it so real!!

The enemy out here tricking folk!! Got them believing that God is rewarding them for doing something good!! The enemy rewards too!! Did y’all know that? Who knew this and didn’t share it with others?  Who?

Look if you read the whole scripture; Matthew 4:1-11; I promise you this will all make sense!

Even though Jesus was growing tired! You have to remember He had fasted for 40 days and 40 nights! Jesus was tired and hungry!! How many of us get tired, get weary and hungry and just want to to be finished? Just tell me what I have to say; so I can go and sleep? Just tell me what you what me to do; so I can go eat?

He still had the Word of God; on his lips!! Each time the enemy came at him; He was ready for him!! Each and every time; He never gave in! He never threw in the towel!! How many of us when we get tired, frustrated and disgusted; forget what we heard? Forget what we read? Forget what we know to be true?

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)

Look y’all; I know times be hard and nobody likes to be walking around here broke. But, just make sure; what and who; you are accepting into your life! Make sure your going down the right path and you won’t one day regret the decision that you’ve made. Know whose team you are signing up to be on!!

Now, if you still want to “Secure The Bag”; make sure it’s a duffel bag!! Tell the enemy I’m packing up; I’m moving out and you will never see me; ever again!! I’m going back home; where I belong!!! #securethebag

Christian Author Spotlight: Tarsha L. Campbell

This is the 2nd Featured Author of 2018! Now if you don’t know who Tarsha L. Campbell is; you are truly missing out! For those of you that do know her; then you are in good company!

I know Tarsha personally but I did ask the question: Who Is Tarsha L. Campbell?

Tarsha L. Campbell is a dynamic Woman of Destiny! With this mandate she humbly serves her community and globally as an entrepreneur, international empowerment speaker, certified life coach, business consultant, and mentor. She is the founder, publisher, and principal designer of DOMINIONHOUSE Publishing & Design, LLC, a publishing and graphic design firm dedicated to publishing with divine ingenuity and creative excellence.

Tarsha is the author of seven popular books, with her more recent release being My Next Step Vision Board Dream Journal & Planner. Tarsha is passionate about helping others find and fulfill their life purpose, and launch their dreams.

She serves emerging leaders through her businesses Tarsha Campbell Empowers, WOMB Mentoring Incubator & Delivery Room, and through the non-profit organization she founded, Revealed International Women’s Empowerment Network, Inc.

Her latest book is a jewel that you will want to add to your collection! I grabbed me a copy and let me tell you it has truly been blessing my entire life!

I wanted to know and I’m sure you do as well; why did Tarsha complete her latest book?

“I wrote this book as a result of coaching and mentoring people and realizing they needed help staying focused on their God-given dreams and visions. Some were just stuck in a rut and needed motivation, plus a viable system to move them forward. Others were motivated, but simply overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start to achieve what they were dreaming and envisioning for their life.

My purpose for writing this book was to share a strategy I have used in my life, businesses and ministry for many years that has yielded major progress and breakthrough. This success strategy included dreaming big, utilizing the power of vision, and then employing what I call a “Next Step” strategy to take action every day in order to see my dreams and visions become my reality.

I’m a firm believer that God is always showing you snapshots of His dream and vision for your life. You, however, have to become aware of what He is showing you and stay focus by doing your part in order for it to fully come to fruition. The My Next Step Vision Board Journal & Planner is designed to help you realize your God-given dreams and visions, and take you from stagnation to manifestation, and ultimately breakthrough!”

Now that you know Tarsha’s reason for writing the book; let’s see who her target market is?

⁃ “People who feel stuck and in a rut and want to move forward

⁃ People who aren’t stuck, but want to accelerate their growth and see dream and vision manifestation

– People looking for a breakthrough strategy”

I am not ashamed to say it but; I am all 3 of these! And that’s why I got the book; will you join me? Let’s see what’s included in this amazing book.

When The Winds of Change Have a FRESH New Smell: #SpiritualSundays Guest Blogger Angie Bee..

This was an exciting month for me and I couldn’t WAIT to share it with you! The TOUR that Angie BEE Presents kicked off our month with prayer, fasting and our first Community Business Showcase Workshop of the year. Our host was Pastor and First Lady Cassandra Jordan of Impact Church Daytona and we all had a simply wonderful time of fellowship.
I don’t believe it a “coincidence” that we started our 2017 outreach season reaching those in the community. A community is the foundation of growth, spirit and change and we can’t ignore it.

 Let me tell you why!
There are some communities in the world where food, shelter and medical treatment are not readily available to all. Other communities restrict an individual’s prayer life and in other places, you can’t even determine the size of your own family. The joy of gathering together, with families and in a house of worship was an honor! We talked about commerce, we prayed, we encouraged one another and the Spirit of the Lord arrived to bless us all.
The winds of change have a fresh new smell. Some church leaders discourage money “changing hands” in their sanctuary. Not the Impact Church Daytona… they accommodated the business owners as they networked. Some event leaders will charge an admission for attendees to be fed and “entertained” during an event. Not on this day as Impact Church Daytona provided our refreshments. Some presenters charge a “speaker’s fee” in order to share their lessons or testimony.

Not the members of The TOUR that Angie BEE Presents as we count it a honor to share the blessings of the Lord with others. Tahara Thompson spoke about her new business and shared her testimony about the goodness of the Lord. Attorney Regina Nunnally had us all in tears as she shared HER testimony of encouragement and endurance. As one of the newest members of The TOUR, even Chaconna Downs shared her experiences of love and change as she was celebrating her first year of residency in Volusia County. Change was all in the air for each of us, and I believe the winds will continue to blow!
The bible teaches us:

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8New Living Translation (NLT)
A Time for Everything

“For everything there is a season,   a time for every activity under heaven.A time to be born and a time to die.   A time to plant and a time to harvest.A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to cry and a time to laugh.  A time to grieve and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.  A time to embrace and a time to turn away.A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend.   A time to be quiet and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate.   A time for war and a time for peace”

There was a season to discourage free commerce in a place of worship. Now, it is understood that the marketplace leaders can not only fund a church, but they can enlarge the territory of a community.
Now is the time to birth a new business or endeavors as old ideas and visions can now die off. Start “pruning” those old, dead limbs of discouragement and frustration and cling to a new vine!
Plant new seeds in your family by introducing new concepts to your children and siblings.

Kill old habits and soul-ties and allow your heart to forgive and heal.
Scatter away any stones of doubt and worry and collect the stones of faith and trust!

Search the scriptures for the answers FIRST and stop resorting to the living word AFTER you have exhausted all other resources.
Keep the Lord’s voice in your ear and throw away the lies that the devil tried to tell you. Cry over those that are lost and don’t know the Lord and help mend their hearts by sharing your testimony with them.
Be still and quiet and know that HE is God and speak the love and blessings that He has allowed you to enjoy. Encourage peace in your home, on the job and in your community and pray for an end to war, famine, discord.
There is a time for everything and change is in the atmosphere. Share this word and your heart with another as God continues to blow the winds of change our way.

Much love and BEE Blessed!

Repack Your Bags: #spiritualsundays written by Guest Blogger-Tarsha Campbell

I recently took a trip that required I take an airline flight to reach my destination. Anyone that knows me, or have ever traveled with me, knows I travel with a lot of stuff! As I was checking in for my flight I was asked to place my bags on the scale to weigh my luggage. To my surprise I was told my bags exceeded the allotted luggage and weight limit, and I would have to pay for the additional bags based on the weight of each bag. Next I received an even greater shock when I was told the fee I would have to pay was close to a $100 (nearly half the cost of my airline ticket)! As you might have guessed it, I wasn’t a “happy camper”. “Why didn’t anyone tell me about these additional fees for my extra baggage?” Needless to say, I lived, and definitely learned, from this incident. From here on out, I’m traveling light…at least when I fly.

I want to pose to you a question, are you traveling light? Personally speaking, I’m finding as I fly higher in life, on my way to my divine purpose and destiny, there are just some things I will have to leave behind. These things must be left behind because they simply will cost me to much to carry it with me. This can sometimes be easier said than done, mainly because the stuff I want to take with me make me feel more secure and comfortable, even though I might have outgrown them.

How about you? Do you sense in your heart God wants to take you higher, but you have to many things weighing you down? If so, I want to encourage you to repack your bags and travel light, because in this new season there are some things you can do without. Here’s a list of several things you can unpack:

• Dump financial and emotional debt

• Get rid of fruitless paradigms

• Eradicate negative associations

• Sever harmful soul ties

Your Next Step Coaching For Success Minute:

• Take time to identify the areas in your life where you have excess baggage

• Make a commitment to yourself to lighten your load within the next 1-4 weeks

• Celebrate as you ascend higher

The Year Is 2017! What Will You Do?

So we are 1 week into the new year; and I don’t know about you; but the way my life is set up, it is off to a great start! You have to come off the start line like you know it’s going to be poppin! Come out the gate; like what up? I’m here and ready to take on the day; everyday!

So with that out the way; what are you doing in 2017? Have you started your New Years resolutions? Have you hit the gym? Have you changed up your eating habits and been eating healthier? This is what people talk about every single year! It doesn’t even last that long; some don’t continue past the first week. And the gym faze; may go on for maybe a month; maybe!

Aren’t you ready to do something different; that will last longer than a week or a month? What if you could rethink your resolutions and put a new list together? What are your goals and aspirations for 2017? What are you going to do differently; than you did in the previous years; that will advance you and not continue to keep you idle and/or stagnant? This year should be different; and therefore calls for different outcomes; but to achieve a different outcome, the outlook has to be different as well.

Allow me to make some suggestions:

  • 2017 is your year to stop hiding behind that mask; unveil your true self take the mask off!
  • 2017 is your year to stop checking for folks; that aren’t checking for you; stop looking foolish!
  • 2017 is the year for you to do a new thing; old stuff has no place in the new year!
  • 2017 is the year that you decide to change!
  • 2017 is the year that you decide; to start walking in your purpose!
  • 2017 is the year for you; to get out of your own way!
  • 2017 is the year for you; to stop being co-dependent; on other people to live your life!
  • 2017 is the year for you; to be servant lead and stop being so selfish; and self centered!
  • 2017 is the year for you; to be strong and take a stand for you! You are and will be your biggest cheerleader! Nobody else has to cheer you on!
  • 2017 is the year you begin to have fun! Stop being so super serious!
  • 2017 is the year that you silence your haters! Stop giving them front your seats into your life!

New beginnings call for drastic changes! You dont want to be the same ole person you were in 2016! You want to be renewed, refreshed, revamped and rejuvanted! So that calls for you doing some self-evaluations! Its time to check yourself; boo! You dont want others judging you; then you do it!

It’s time to get out the boat; and walk on water! You don’t have to be afraid and you don’t have to wait on a cheering squad! Just do it!

So many people are getting left behind; because they are waiting for a cheering squad that may never show up! You are built and equipped for this! Stepping out of the boat for Peter didn’t require him to have a cheering squad; it was just him and Jesus! That’s all you need; are your eyes on him? (Read Matthew 14:22-33)

Pray this prayer:
Lord, as I take the first step; toward getting out of the boat. I pray, that you bid me to come; show me the way the right way to go. Don’t allow me to stray to the left or to the right! Keep my path straight; in the direction leading right to you! In your son; Jesus mighty name, I pray! Amen.

What Are You Worth?

What are you worth? Have you ever thought about this?

Do you value yourself? Your time? Your potential?

Do you just give away your worth?

People will try their best to give or offer you what they think you are worth. This goes for business and personal; especially when they don’t know you or your potential.

Many times in the business world (employers/employment agencies) will offer you the minimum pay and want top notch results! In personal relationships people will give you 20% of their time and attention but wants you to give them 150 % and that makes no sense!

Do you cherish what you can be?

Many of us aren’t where we want to be! But does that mean we are to give up and throw in the towel? No we keep pushing, keep planning and it will happen when it’s supposed to. Right? That’s what I’m always hearing and while I believe it; what about the ones that don’t? What do you say to a 40+ person that has been prepping and waiting and it hasn’t happened yet? How many women and men are still single; looking and waiting for the right one? How many college grads are still looking and waiting for the dream job that they actually got a degree in? How many single moms are still waiting for their child’s father to want an active role in their kids life? How many employees are still waiting to be acknowledged for their hard work and be promoted?

The list can go on for days but the real question; that needs to be answered is; when are you going to break free; from the people, places and things that are trying to hold you back?

Can you answer these questions

1. What is my worth?

2. Do I value myself?

3. What can I change?

4. What can’t I change?

5. What can I do better?

6. When will I realize that I deserve the best?

7. When will I stop taking myself for granted?

The most important thing you need to remember is that you; can’t change anyone else! But you can change; how you allow it to affect and define you! You are the most important factor; no matter the situation.

Finding Your Voice: #SpiritualSundays

This past week I had my very first live radio interview! Can I tell you I was a nervous wreck? I am a true introvert! I’m shy; reserved laid back, calm and collected until you tell or ask me to speak! Speak to who; a large group of people, heck it could be 2 people and I still get the jitters. For the past year and a half I have been trying to “Find My Voice“; why because I have something to say and people need to hear it! If we are silent and have the ability to help others; then who are we hurting?

In “finding your voice“;

  1. You have to know what you have to say and;
  2. Who you need to say it too!

For me that was easy; what trials and tribulations have I experienced? Rape Survivor, Teen Motherhood, Single Motherhood, Domestic Violence Survivor, etc. Who else deals with these types of experiences? Young Ladies (Teens and Adults), Women (Single), Moms (Single) and the list can go on and on. Where would I start? I thought the best way to reach so many different individuals on multiple levels in that point in my life; was to write! So writing is what I did; with absolutely no experience in writing a book!

In the interview I was asked some questions that took me back and got me to thinking and also reflecting on the things that Our Heavenly Father has brought me through! It brought tears to my eyes because the fact is that “He” loved me enough to get me up, out and over what very things tried to take me out and destroy my life, his will and the plans he has for me!

How many of us go through life with labels attached to us? How many of us actually believe what others have called us, spoken over us negatively and even more; beat into us?

“You are”

“You never will be”

“You can’t”

“You won’t”

“I hate”

“I don’t”

“I can’t”

This type of abuse, hate, self-hate, low self-esteem stems from so many avenues; but what happens when you allow it in your life? When you downplay every aspect of it because you haven’t become strong enough to simply walk away?

When I was younger everyone loved me! They would say how cute I was! How quiet I was; such a good child! But that all changed the day I decided to help a friend that was scared to walk home by herself. Our Heavenly Father knew the plans for my life! He created me to be a helper; even if it meant giving of myself and at some point in life; losing myself! This trial, this tribulation changed my life and my families life forever. As a child we don’t think and that can be for many reasons; for me I was sheltered and a little bit naive. I believed at that time that everyone in the world was good. I went to church as a kid with my great grandmother but didn’t know the full effect of the enemy and the schemes he uses to distract us and at times bind us!  In helping my friend I in turn was raped by the very person whom “she” was afraid of! How does that happen? Why did it happen? This traumatic event got worse when certain folks in my inner and extended family decided to allow the enemy to work through them; and place the blame on the victim. Even at 12 years old Our Heavenly Father was there and working it out for my good; it may have been a difficult time to live through but I made it! (I will be sharing more of this; in one of my upcoming books! Stay tuned)

Before my interview I prayed and actually recorded it and shared on my social media pages because I have reached a point in my life where I can no longer stay hidden! In order to live out my purpose; I have to be visible and that means in all aspects of my walk. When I started to write I really didn’t want to share my stories but the more I prayed about it; I realized in me telling my stories it releases the hold the enemy had on me! In John 10:10 (NKJV) it says this: “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly“. (courtesy of http://www.biblegateway.com) Listen to the prayer here:

Can I be absolutely honest with you? That’s when I began to live again! I had been going through the motions and existing in this here life but I was still stuck! Years ago I had rid myself of the destructive relationships that I allowed to exist! I made the decision to never allow that type of destruction in my life or around my children again! I took the time to work on me but now it was time for me to help others and that meant stepping out into the unknown; but I wouldn’t be alone because if you are a believer then you will know that “He” never leaves you lonely and “He” will always provide just what you need.

These scriptures spoke to me; I pray they will speak to you! We all have a story, a purpose, a passion; our why! What is yours?

Romans 4:17 (courtesy of http://www.biblegateway.com)

17 “(as it is written, I have made you a father of many nations) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did“; (NKJV)

 Genesis 17:5 (courtesy of http://www.biblegateway.com)

No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations“. (NKJV)

Oh and another nugget I would like to share is; don’t allow other people to box you in! This has become my go-to scripture when people who don’t know me try to hold me back or box me in: Matthew 25:15 (NKJV) “And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey“. Coaching on Purpose: Winning Wednesday’s

Do you know the amount of people in this world that wake up each morning feeling defeated?

Do you know how many of those same people go to sleep at night feeling defeated?

I’m going to let you in on a little secret! Each day that you are able to get up and open your eyes; you have won the battle!

Defeated people look and feel like they have lost something when they have in fact; gained so much more.

They have the ability to start over! Recreate or invent a new way of looking at their life; why continue to feel defeat when you can change it and your overall outlook in your life?

There are so many reasons why people feel defeated; these are just a few:

1. Can’t find the right job suited for them.

2. Can’t seem to make enough money to pay all their bills.

3. Can’t seem to find the right soulmate.

4. Don’t feel like they are being an effective parent.

The way the job market is in many cities and states; people are being let go left and right! It looks like a disaster to them but if they really thought about it; it’s really a blessing!

A new outlook that they would never have thought about if they were still employed; starting their own company gives them the opportunity to create stability for themselves and those they would need to hire.

The jury is still out when it comes to dating. As a woman; are you supposed to go hunting for a guy? As a guy do you go out hunting for a woman? Is the guy supposed to make the first move or can the woman? What about these dating sites that everyone is using; is that the new way of dating?

Think about this; maybe you haven’t been found by your soulmate because you haven’t found yourself? Maybe there is individual work that needs to be done; before anyone else is added to the equation. This isn’t a bad thing and the feeling of defeat has no home here! You want to recognize that you may need to work on yourself and any underlying issues now before your soulmate appears!

Parenting can be a challenge but defeat can slide it’s way out the door; because even the best parents have their days when they want to run and hide. Kids are going to be kids! Spend some quality time with your child(ren) listen to them; interact with them; have some fun activities planned that they like and be more visible. So many times as parents we are trying to juggle this and that and we lose sight of what is really important! Kids don’t need and many don’t want a 4 course meal they want quality time with you! They don’t care about you trying to get rich they will settle for being comfortable and being able to see you every night at bedtime!

Winning in life is easy! Get up every single day and don’t allow defeat to creep in! Take everything in stride as it comes into play; get your game plan together and execute it! You’re not defeated so whatever comes your way; you will find a way to work it out!

What Size Is Your Tank? Written by Tarsha Campbell: Spiritual Sunday’s

I heard an interesting fact about a certain fish called the Oscar fish. This particular fish when placed in the right environment has the ability to reach its potential size of 16 inches. However, if placed in a limited environment, such as a small fish tank, this fish will never grow to reach its full potential. After hearing this interesting fact it made me wonder: How many people have lived, died, and never reached their full potential because their tank was too small?

Metaphorically speaking, your tank size can be a multitude of limiting factors that can keep you from reaching your full potential. These limiting factors can include:

Certain associations (the people you hang with, your connections)

• Mindsets (how you think)

• Education (skill set, your understanding)

• Your level of revelation

• Your level of influence

• Your comfort zones

Upon reading the list above I want to present two questions to you. What size is your tank? Will your current environments allow you to reach your full potential? It’s imperative that you face and answer these questions if you want to continue to grow and be all God has purposed you to be. It’s not always easy to leave behind the familiar, but I guarantee it will be worth it in the end.

Your Next Step Coaching For Success Minute:

Identify the tanks that are too small in your life.

• Why you have chosen to stay in these limiting environments? (fear, hate change, etc.)

• For each area of your life devise a strategy to move to a larger tank size.

• Make a conscious decision to grow and celebrate your growth.
