Inner Circle: Who Is In Yours?

Godly Relationships….Godly Community…..Godly Connections…..

Ask yourself:

Do you have them? Do you fit in with them? Do you inspire them?

What do your relationships look like?

Do you have community that you can count on? Who can you call when you are in trouble?

What kind of friend are you? This is probably the most important question you can ask yourself; when it comes to relationships! So many are seeking relationships-friendships; but lack everything they are seeking in another!

Let’s take a look at some biblical journeys of Godly relationships-friendships to get a feel of what they look like……

Daniel Represents:

“Then the king gave Daniel high honors and many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and chief prefect over all the wise men of Babylon. Daniel made a request of the king, and he appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego over the affairs of the province of Babylon. But Daniel remained at the king’s court.” Daniel 2:48-49 (ESV)

Ask yourself:

Do you have Godly Relationships that when they are promoted; they don’t forgot about you and how you held them down? When Daniel went in to interpret the King’s Dream who did he ask to petition God? Do you have friends that will aid you in getting your prayers answered?

Ruth takes a stand:

“But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the Lord do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you.” And when Naomi saw that she was determined to go with her, she said no more.” Ruth 1:16-18 (ESV)

The story of Ruth shows us a perfect example of a Godly Relationship-Community-Connections…..Not only did she desire to not return to her people; her previous life! She got the ultimate blessing in the end!

Ask yourself:

Do you allow people to see the real you or the mask?

Do you allow people to see you broken and hurt?

Do you allow people to speak into your life?

Do you allow others to help mold you into your best self?

Friendship-Relationships shouldn’t be created as a one-way street! So many people are focused on what they will get out of a relationship; they forget to figure out what they bring to the table!

When Jesus set out to complete his mission; he knew he would need others to assist him. Spreading the word of God isn’t an easy task because you will always have those that rebel. Jesus knew he needed a team to walk along side of him and those He could trust when He wasn’t around to still spread the good news!

But guess what? It wasn’t a one-way relationship! Yes, the disciples gave up much to walk with Jesus; but look at what they gained for being part of His Inner Circle!

Ask yourself:

Do you have what it takes to be part of Godly Relationships-Community?

Are you willing to remove the mask and show your real-true self?

Are you willing to put aside what no longer serves you?

Can you commit to helping others succeed in life; without personal gain?

From the Desk of a Single Mom: Help Me Sweet Jesus…

People on the outside looking in will tell you; you’re doing something wrong! So-called experts will say; “you have to get to the root of the problem”; but what do you say Single Mom?

When you are having trouble at home with raising your kids and getting them on the right track; what do you do?

There is no dad to call; because he doesn’t care. The outsiders and experts will question why; you know why because you’ve been down this road before! You call or text and he ignores you. He did the same thing when you were together and he didn’t want to be bothered; so what do you do?

As a single mom you keep putting one foot in front of the other! Stopping to complain; gets us nowhere! Calling him until he answers; doesn’t get us anywhere! Screaming and shouting; gets us nowhere!

Our kids still need to be raised! Bills still need to be paid! Food still needs to be prepared! Homework still needs to be done! Yes, people will say that “prayer changes things” but we need to change as well!

Our attitudes and reactions need to change! Our mindset has to change! Thinking and speaking positive goes along way!

Being a single mom isn’t easy and yes the road is a long one. But, if we looked towards the end result; our kids growing up to be amazing adults because we did all “we” could do; it’s all worth it! We can’t change anyone else; but, we can be the best mom that we can. With the cards we’ve been dealt and learn from our trials and tribulations and empower our kids to do and be better!

Single Mom; hold your head up high and adjust your crown!

I pray that you are empowered to continue your journey in raising your kids to the best of your ability!

From The Desk of a Single Mom: Cutting Corners and Saving Money….

As a single mom I am always looking for ways to save money! Living on one income gets harder and harder with prices going up all the time; so many times we have to be creative in how we budget and spend!

Something that I decided to do recently was start making my own deodorant! It’s been a couple years since I stopped buying the regular deodorant for my boys and myself; I’ve been buying all natural and it gets very expensive as a single mom!

So one night as I’m on the website where I purchase this all natural deodorant from; I got to thinking “I can make this myself; why am I about to spend $30 for 2 small jars?”. As I thought about it I couldn’t come up with a valid reason; so I closed out that website and went to YouTube! And guess what I found several videos on making all natural deodorant! All these videos showed me I only needed 4 ingredients; baking soda, corn starch, coconut oil and my choice of essential oils! I had 3 of these ingredients already at home!

So you know what I went out the next day and bought the missing ingredient for under $2; went back home and made 5 jars of all natural deodorant! These jars will last my boys and I a couple of months!!

So now that I know I can save money by thinking before I make a purchase for something I can clearly made at home; I will definitely venture out and do so!! I think I will try all natural toothpaste next! A tube of all natural toothpaste usually costs me close to $5…..YouTube here I come….

#SpiritualSundays: Leaving It All Behind–Evangelist Angie Bee

Leaving It All Behind

by

“Da Queen Bee”

Evangelist Angie BEE

I live in Daytona Beach Florida and we are blessed to now have Spring weather.  The rain is falling and the flowers are blooming.  Even my cactus has baby buds sprouting on them!

The winter weather is behind us and we look forward to Spring Breakers and Bikers arriving in our city.

leave it all behind

The new season also means a new evaluation of my wardrobe.  My husband and I are packing away the winter hats and coats and pulling out the spring dresses and shorts.  This also  means that I need to go shopping, as some of my dresses appear to have shrunk while they were packed away #Curves

let go and let God

Over the weekend I was reflecting upon the goodness of the Lord in that he forced me to leave some things behind.  When my children were aged 3 and 1, we were all involved in a head-on collision with an 18-wheel tractor trailer.  I nearly lost my leg and I was in a wheelchair for nearly two years.

A week after the accident, my mother flew to Georgia and packed up our apartment in to a storage area and flew us to Michigan in order to care for us.

The injury attorney told me not to worry about anything and concentrate on healing.

let go_1

A few months later, I called the storage area to make arrangements to send my friend to retrieve my daughter’s baby pictures and send them to me.

I especially wanted my one-year old’s newborn pictures taken on the  day of her birth.  The representative on the phone put me on hold, checked my storage container and returned to the phone with an update.

She said that my storage container had been sold at auction a few days earlier.  They had received no  response from the mail they sent to my Georgia address and did not know that I was in Michigan.

I was devastated.

Completely distraught.  I just can’t explain it…

trails and tribulations

Years ago while I was in the initial diagnosis of mental illness, my  then teenage daughters and I were evicted  from our apartment.

I had been hospitalized for attempted suicide and on the day I was released, the Sheriff came to the door.  Some dear friends rented us a moving truck to put our items in storage and my daughters and I moved in to a local hotel.

Everything we had was in that storage area… and a few months later, our items were sold at auction.

I had to choose between getting us out of the hotel, or paying the storage bill.

I left the old stuff behind and had faith that God would restore us with what we needed.

the boats

Luke 5:11 teaches us “So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him”. When I read that scripture, I could see that they left everything behind.

At first, I didn’t see the connection as I thought to myself “those men voluntarily left everything behind to follow Christ”.

walk away

But then, God showed me the connection.  It doesn’t matter if you voluntarily leave it behind, or if it is snatched from your hand… you MUST leave the old behind!

Leave the old painful memories behind!

Leave the old regret behind!

Remove those old habits and faults

behind and reach towards something new!

Pull up your boat and wait for the Lord

to fill it up with something new and watch

to see how He blesses your life.

endless blessings

I can’t believe how God has now blessed me now!

I have three closets FULL of clothing.

I have racks of shoes and purses and drawers of hats and wigs.

I have more makeup now than what I had when I was selling it and I have more gold and costume jewelry than I know what do to with.

My husband furnished his home so adequately that when we married, I couldn’t think of a thing to add!

We have multiple couches, tables, dishes, linens, appliances…the list goes on!

We could probably furnish a second home with the stuff in our garage alone!

Don’t wait for God to shrink your clothes in the closet before you go shopping for something new.  Take the old items and bless someone with them!

Don’t grieve over a loss that you had no control over.

Learn something new by pulling up your boat and get ready to leave it behind because Christ is worth following!

Kingdom Gals: It’s Grooming Season; From Princess to Queen

The Book of Esther

Many of us want to reach the level we desire but don’t want to go through the grooming process!

Your walk! Your speech! Your attitude! Your response! Your reflex! Your mindset! Your heart! Your soul! Your spirit! Your temple (body)! All needs to go through a grooming process! A detox! The old yucky stuff needs to be removed! The language you used to speak in your previous level doesn’t have access in your next level!

We are talking upgrade! The old stuff doesn’t have access anymore; it has expired. Are you ready for your grooming process? Are you strong enough for the detox? There are no cheat days!

How are you living?

Who are you following/allowing to speak into your life/who is influencing you?

Jesus had to go through the grooming process! The disciples had to go through the grooming process! Why should you be any different?

Take a look at the book of Esther and see the process that Esther had to go through and highlight Esther 2:12: “Each young woman’s turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus after she had completed twelve months’ preparation, according to the regulations for the women, for thus were the days of their preparation apportioned: six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with perfumes and preparations for beautifying women”. (NKJV)

Did Esther go through this process just for herself or were there others depending on her? You see the process from Princess to Queen isn’t just a journey for yourself; there are those that need your help and require your assistance. When God calls you out from that fiery pit; that dark gloomy place you have been residing at; he isn’t just doing it for you! He is giving you purpose; that passion that will burn from here to the ends of the world; that only you can fulfill.

As a queen; not only do you have to make decisions but you also have to be able to discern and listen to instructions! When Esther was younger she lost both her parents and her uncle took her in and treated her as his own. He treated her like a princess the whole time; so it was easy for her to step into her role as queen! He checked on her the whole time she was going through her grooming process! So when the word came to her that he was in need; her people were in need; how do you think she responded? Read Esther 4-7 and see what took place.

What cause is God grooming you for?

What has God called you to do?

What purpose has He placed on your heart?

What gifts has He placed in your hands?

Are you created to be perfect? No, but the grooming process is necessary and a necessity! There are things that  you need to shed that will just hinder your progress and wear you down! What if Esther hadn’t been prepared and didn’t have the right mindset through the whole grooming process? What if she wasn’t able to answer the call? You will find and see that even the people that stood by you the whole time will one day doubt you! But as a queen; that went through the process; you will always rise to the occasion; just like Esther did!!

Kingdom Gals: Are You Your Sister’s Keeper?

women friends

I was scheduled to write on a different subject today but; this subject was heavy on my heart. I am just a push over for women no matter the race or background; to be on one accord! And when it appears that we’re starting to slip back into old territoryI can’t be one of those that just sit on the sidelines and let it go down!

Does anyone really know what the meaning of sisterhood is? Does anyone really care? Some of us use it to our advantage when we have events or something going on in our lives; which isn’t right! Some of us use it to our advantage when it aids us no matter the situation! But some of us look forward to it all year round; no matter what and are genuine about it! 🙋🏽

Sisterhood defined from the Merriam Webster Dictionary:

1a : “the state of being a sister
b sisterly relationship
2a community or society of sistersespecially a society of women in a religious order
3the solidarity of women based on shared conditions, experiences, or concerns”
friends_1

What does sisterhood mean to you?

Are you one that uses it to your advantage?

Are you one that looks forward to connecting with other women and creating a bond, relationship, or friendship?

Do you love yourself? Why do I ask? In order to love others; you have to first love yourself?

Do we all know that our #1 enemy; comes to steal, kill and destroy? Do we all know that he is the author of confusion? Do we all know that he thrives when we are at odds?

He doesn’t want us on one accord! He laughs at us every time we get at odds over the stupidest stuff!

1. She looked at me wrong.

2. She told someone this about me.

3. She looked at my boyfriend/husband.

4. She rolled her eyes at me.

5. She didn’t come to my event.

6. She didn’t loan me the money.

7. She borrowed something and never gave it back.

8. She misunderstood what I said.

9. She stole my idea.

10. She is friends with people I don’t like.

The list can go on; but are these valid reasons to be at odds with another woman, sister, friend, or daughter?

Do you remember when Jesus was betrayed by one of his disciples? (Read Luke 22 and Mark 16:7) The very person who was a friend? Sold him out for a few gold coins? When Jesus was resurrected from the dead; who did He ask for?

Did Jesus hold a grudge? Why should you hold a grudge or have a problem with the next woman? You don’t have to be bosom buddies if there is clearly a problem; but at least be able to talk it out and come to an understanding. We all have different personalities and none of us are perfect! And some of our mindsets are a little off but; we have to at least make the effort!

friends

As Christian Women we have to set the standard; we have to set the stage. We have to represent Our Heavenly Father to the fullest! We have to look like we are His children and act like we belong to Him.
