#SpiritualSundays: 6 Steps to Enlarge Your Borders. Written by Tarsha L. Campbell

Are you yearning to take your life to a whole new level? Do you aspire to reach beyond your current boundaries and enlarge your territory? If you answered “yes” to these two questions than this article is for you! Below are six steps I personally employed in my own life to enlarge my borders and step into the divine spaces prepared for me. Let’s check them out:

  1. Desire More

To desire means to long for. So many people lack desire. They have resolved to settle for the status quo. You must realize in order to have more, you have to reach for more. This means stepping out of your comfort zone and going beyond what you are accustom to. (Matthew 7:7-8)

  1. Envision More

You have to see beyond what’s around you to enlarge your borders. Having vision is important when stretching forth into new territory. Vision is the vehicle that propels you to new dimensions.
Vision involves seeing the new territory before you even leave the station. (Proverbs 29:18)

  1. Seek God For Strategies

When desiring to stretch out into larger territory the first place to start is in prayer. Seeking God for strategies to enlarge your borders is essential to your success. In doing so, you ensure you are moving forth in the right direction.  A strategy is a plan of action, a game plan designed to achieve a goal. Without a plan of action you are planning to fail. (John 2:1-5)

  1. Execute the Plan

Execute means to carry out the plan, to work. This is where most people drop the ball. To enlarge your borders it takes action on your part. When God gives you strategies it’s up to you to work them and see them through to completion. (James 2:17-18)

  1. Avoid “Border Control

In your quest to enlarge your borders you have to avoid people that try to place limits on your growth. It is important to establish divine connections. Be lead by the Spirit to connect with people who are going your way and cut loose from those who try to control your advancement and progress. (Matthew 18:18-20)

  1. Praise God For New Ground

This final step is an act of faith. Even before you reach the new territory you need to acknowledge the one from whom all blessings flow. It is through God’s grace you will accomplish your goal. In praising Him you release His unlimited favor on your behalf! (Psalm 107:7-9)

Kingdom Gals: Power, Persistence & Prayer……Tamara McCarthy

I was listening to a devotional the other day; did you get that “listening”! Don’t you just love the power of technology? You can listen instead of reading; Praise God!! When you’re busy and on the go; that is an awesome way to get some spiritual reading in.

So, like I was saying I was listening to a devotional the other day and the author was talking about three things: Power, Persistence and Prayer!  These are three words that you want to incorporate into your life starting today; if you already haven’t!

The author of the devotional didn’t go into what the words mean; maybe because they are self-explanatory. But, I like to be thorough when I explain something; so I am going to go the extra mile and provide a definition for each.

Power: “ability to act or produce an effect “and “possession of control, authority, or influence over others” (www.merriamwebster.com)

Persistence: not backing down or refusing to give up (personal definition)

Prayer:  “the act or practice of praying to God” (www.merriamwebster.com)

Now, that I provided a definition to give an understanding of what we are speaking about today; let’s dive in.

Have you ever heard someone say that “your words have power“? How about “what you speak determines what will happen in your life“? If you speak negatively that can bring an negative outcome; what about speaking positive? Why would people speak negative into their life or the lives of others? It’s simple, many people don’t believe that there is “power in their words”. How can God bless your situation if you are constantly speaking negatively?

Are you persistent when you pray? Do you keep praying for the same things? Or do you give up after you don’t see any movement? That was the question the author posed; “are you being persistent; when you prayer? Do you keep on asking, seeking and knocking?

Matthew 7:7 (KJV) says this “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you“.

In the book of  Luke 18:1-8 (KJV) we find out about the persistent widow but I want to highlight verse 4-5For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!” (www.biblegateway.com)

Are we going to get everything we pray for? Maybe not, but should we just give up completely and not continue to pray?

God will tell you No sometimes; that just how it’s going to be. He has the master plan for our lives; maybe we are shooting too low and He wants us to go higher. God isn’t a materialistic God! He just doesn’t operate out of cars, clothes and money! He isn’t like that. He tells us in his word that we shouldn’t concentrate on the things of this world. (Romans 12:2)

Make a list of the things that you have been praying for; which ones do you think are important to God and the plans He has for your life? Do you need those new shoes? Maybe not; especially if you have 50 other pair in your closet; you can scratch that off your list. Are you praying to go on a missions trip and cant afford to go? This is where you want to speak those powerful words, be persistent and prayer! This can stay on your list and just await the outcome.

Who are you praying for? God isn’t a selfish God; he gives freely and expects us to do the same. Are you taking the time out to pray for others and their well-being? Who is on your prayer list? Do you have a prayer list? If not; start one today!

Who in your life; can use some intercessory prayer? Intercede for those that can’t pray for themselves and use those powerful words, be persistent on their behalf. Everyone doesn’t believe in the power of prayer; so you will have to be their advocate.

You may be asking yourself; what should I pray for them? You can be simple or you can be detailed; allow the spirit to move/direct you. Example: Father God, I come to you today on behalf of my co-worker; who may be in need of your help. She doesn’t want to ask you; so I will intercede for her. Help her in all her difficult times and trying situations that may look helpless to her. Show her that you are real; and love all your children; even though they may be going down the wrong path. Guide her steps, oh Lord. In the mighty name of your son Jesus, I pray. Amen.

This kind of prayer can be applied to anyone and their situation; just change up the names and circumstances. Can you imagine how better our lives would be as a whole; if we prayed more for those around us?

Have you ever drove past a car accident and just prayed for all those involved? What about driving or walking past a homeless person; did you pray for them and their situation? And the countless children that are given up for adoption and placed in foster homes; did you pray for them?

There are so many different circumstances that require us to pray. Prayer isn’t selfish; it’s just not for us and our needs; but prayer will require us to pray for others as well.

When something happens beyond our control; people are quick to ask: “Where was God; how could He allow this to happen?”. Did you petition Him? Did you cry out and ask Him that very question? Do you have a relationship with Him? Relationship requires prayer…will you pray?

How do you come to begin writing?

Becoming an author was never something I would have planned for myself. After my separation from my ex husband I became very depressed and lonely. During that time I learned to depend on God. Once I surrendered my life to Him things started changing for me. Through Him I found my purpose. I wrote this book because God told me to do so, He gave me the title as well. He said it is time to share with others who I am and what I can do.

Who is your target market?

My target market is Women. Women who feel hopeless, women who struggle with life, women who are or have been in Domestic Violence situations, women struggling with lonliness, divorce, etc. All that I’ve been through, I know it was to be able to help others.

Tell us more about your book:

“Understanding God’s Purpose For Your Life”, will give you meaning, purpose and direction for the life God created for you. In this book, I offer the principal guidelines to discovering your purpose.

#SpiritualSundays….When it Snows on your Bloom: Guest Blogger Angie Bee

“When It Snows on your Bloom”

As I write this article, it is snowing in North and Central Florida.  Yes, I know that Northerners are currently snowed in and schools are closed; I realize that you are under FEET of snow and we only have flurries, but please be patient with me as I acknowledge that 50 degrees in Florida is a challenge for us.  Some of us only own socks to wear with our flip-flop shoes and others don’t own a pair a gloves, as they try to pump the gas in their car.  It is cold in Daytona Beach this morning, and you should have seen my hubby bundled up as he left for work this morning.  #BabyItsColdOutside

23517635_10211107214696064_8703003550597978302_n

This picture that I snapped was actually taken in Akron Ohio in November 2017. We traveled to my husband’s home town in order to attend a 60th birthday party for a life-long friend. It was Akron’s first snowfall of the season, and we were there to witness it!  As our flight was landing, the passengers oo’ed and ahh’ed as they peeped out the window to see the snowfall, and I beamed at my husband with joy in my heart!  “Honey, look at the snow!”  Of course, it was fascinating to look at it as the airplane was landing, but once that cold hit us… oooh weee!  The birthday party attendees arrived wearing their tuxedos and formal gowns, and they were all bundled up in furs and warm capes.

Sometimes it snows on your bloom.  The birthday party went on as scheduled, of course because the local attendees were accustomed to the cold and they could dress appropriately for it.  Bartee and I struggled through the cold to attend the party, even though our outerwear was not at all suitable for that cold weather!  Sometimes, it will snow on your bloom and you still have to press on… just like my husband bundled up this morning to head to work.  Sometimes, you have to press on through the challenge, in spite of the snow, in spite of the heat, in spite of the circumstance.  Don’t let the snow block you from the sunshine as the sun will soon shine a blessing upon you!

The bible teaches us in Romans 5: 3-4:

“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

https://www.biblestudytools.com/romans/passage/?q=romans+5:3-5

That flower in this picture just BEAMED with hope!  It still had hope that the sun was going to shine on it’s petals, in spite of being covered with snow.  That flower still has hope that a bumble bee will buzz on by and pollinate it after the winter ends.  THAT flower still had hope that it’s seeds would one day take root and create more flowers!

As this new year launches and we look forward to receiving more blessings, let us begin to appreciate the snowfalls that are behind us.  Those snowfalls made us stronger!  That challenge may have been expected, like when the seasons change, or it may not have been expected, but it certainly helped us grow and learn.  That divorce is behind you now, and your life is different and that is ok!  That death that you experienced was traumatic for the survivors in your family, but now you can reflect on the deceased and laugh at the memories.  Bundle up, get prepared and enjoy the snowfall when it falls on your bloom because after the snow clears… your foundation will be moist and revived and the sun will shine on your life!

Come share your testimony of encouragement over adversity on our new show, streamed live on www.Facebook.com/AngieBEEandBarteeProductions  The name of the show is “Getting Over the Hump with Angie BEE & Bartee” where my husband and I will feature music, laughs and stories of encouragement and love  Your story may encourage someone else as they are facing their own snow storm!  Join us Wednesday’s from 7:00 – 7:30pm EST and let get over the hump… together!

BEE Blessed

Yep, you heard me right; get rid of all that old smelly stuff you been holding on to. Do I really have to spell it out for you? One-sided relationships, negative thinking, sinful behavior; ungodly speech, destructive motives, etc.

How do you expect to find favor and gain access to a better life when you aren’t willing to give up some stuff? You want to lose weight; but you won’t stop eating the foods that are putting on the pounds; and causing strife in your body? You want to gain better employment but you won’t apply your education; your knowledge? You want people to respect you; but you don’t respect yourself?

This is the month; the time of the year were so many are starting and implementing their new years resolutions. It’s time to get in where you can fit it in! Detox your mind, your body, your thoughts, your habits, your spirit and your soul. It’s time to DENY YOURSELF…..”Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Matthew 16:24 (NKJV)

So again I say and I ask you the question: Can You Deny Yourself? Can you let go of what no longer serves you?

Join me as I step out of the boat and walk out into the deep raging waters; but remember to always keep your eyes on HIM….

Things to Remember:

  1. The Battle can’t be WON without proper execution and strategy!
  2. Allow others to hold you ACCOUNTABLE..
  3. Pray it out; HE is always Listening…

Spiritual Sundays: Frameworks for Success…Guest Blogger Tarsha Campbell

We have officially made it through the 1st week of the new year!! Who is ready for a successful year? Who can use some tips in being successful? I know I can! Tarsha Campbell shares some very insightful tips.

In order for a house to stand it must have a solid framing system in place before the walls and the other parts of the house are installed. Psalms 127:1 says, “Expect the Lord build the house they labour in vain that build it.” God, through his written word and progressive word (prophesy, dreams, visions, words of wisdom, etc.), has given us different frameworks to help us build a successful life. One such framework is found in Joshua 1:8:

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then thou shalt have good success.

Here’s the framework for success found in this scripture:

1. Don’t let the word depart out of your mouth (speak, eat, digest it)

2. Meditate on it day and night (be constantly mindful of it)

3. Observe to do all that is written (Seek to do all it says, live it)

Here’s another example of a framework in action. This is the framework given to me by way of a proceeding word from the Holy Spirit. It’s regarding my health and maintaining a healthy body weight.

4. Exercise regularly (cardio and resistance training)

5. Limit your intake of fatty foods and sugars (eat healthy)

6. Stop eating when you are full

7. Avoid emotional eating

8. Maintain a healthy a digestive system (regular colon cleanings)

9. Take your vitamins

10. Drink plenty of water

As I’m diligent to live within the parameters of this framework I’ve been able to reach my goal of maintaining a healthy body and weight for over 40 years. This goes to show you frameworks work when you work them! What are some frameworks you can employ in your life to reach specific goals you are desiring to achieve?

Your Next Step Coaching Minute:

To construct winning frameworks in your life I encourage you to spend time in God’s presence and write out different frameworks for success revealed to you for the specified areas listed below:

• Your health

• Your finances

• Your relationships

• Your business and/or ministry

Once that’s completed, practice what’s been revealed to you until it becomes a habit and you gain the mastery. Much success!

Christian Author Spotlight: Ashley Porter

As a Self-Published Christian Author we have to find ways to put our work out there; I want to help those in the same boat as me!

Today starts something that I would love to continue throughout 2018 and beyond! Put a spotlight on my fellow authors and showcase their work.

First up is Ms. Ashley Porter; you may be asking yourself; who is she?

There’s no escaping the calling over your life. No one knows that better than Ashley Porter who not only embraces her divine purpose, but helps others do the same.

Through blogging, motivational speaking/ teaching, empowerment coaching/mentoring; Ashley is committed to breaking generational curses and reclaiming family unity.

This dedication affirmed her decision to start Virtuous Visionaries, where she mentors and coaches women who are ready to thrive in their purpose. Ashley founded Goal Getters Empowerment Association in 2013 which is focused on youth.

Ashley enjoys traveling, loving and laughing with her son, Daniel. She’s a multi-talented soul with many skills.

Her book is called Basic Training: How to Prepare for your Spiritual Quest.

What does Ashley say about her book and why she wrote it?

This book is a literal answer to a prayer. In 2014, a friend of mine mentioned she believed in a “higher power” but was unsure about the Bible because people wrote it. She was they type of person with an answer for everything so instead of arguing, I said to myself “I got something for her!” I went home that night and I prayed and I asked God to show me how He used people to write the Bible so I can tell her the truth- within the next 6 days I wrote the entire book.

I also asked Ashley; who did she plan to reach with writing her book?

The target market for this book is pretty broad, this book is for any and everyone. Regardless of age, gender, background this book is a tool to equip and reposition the reader to be in alignment with their God given purpose.

If you’re reading this then Ashley has a special message for you:

If you have a pulse, you have purpose. However, identifying and preparing for your divine calling is not a simple task.

You will need faith, the currency of the kingdom, because when our faith grows, we gain access to kingdom knowledge; but not before we go through a series of tests.

Based on the word of God, Basic Training serves as a light to your path, helping you realign with God’s desires by first moving you out of your own way.

Each chapter trains you to further develop the necessary tenacity, discipline, courage and patience to survive periods of discomfort and doubt.

When people enlist in any branch of the military, they have to go through basic training. This also holds true for your Christian walk of faith.

You will be tested and required to step up and out of your comfort zone to become the best possible you.

What is God trying to tell you through your current season in life?

You can visit her website here: http://www.virtuousvisionaires.com/

And purchase her book as well!

Thank you Ms Ashley Porter for allowing us to showcase your book.

2017 Has Taught Me….

With each new year that comes and goes; I believe it’s necessary to have reflection. Reflection of how to go forward, what you learned from the previous year and what you can do to be a better person.

How else do we expect to grow and change our outlook if we don’t do a self-evaluation?You see it can’t always be about someone else! What did you do? What didn’t you do?

You see for me I didn’t speak up enough; I just allowed things to play out as they may. Could I have said something? Yes, but many times I chose not too. I for one like my peace and keeping my sanity in check. What was it for you? What did you let slide; or did you speak your mind? How far did it get you?

I have never been a fan of new year’s resolutions; why? Because life always happens and by February all those resolutions are out the door! But one thing that I have incorporated over the years is looking at how my year went and what I could change going forward.

In 2017, I can honestly say I learned lots about me and people around me.

#1. I learned that I wasn’t made to fit in but I was created to stand out.

This one right here was a biggie for me! You see people will always try to control you if you let them! They want you to play by their rules, be who they want you to be; and I learned that has never and will never be me. God has uniquely made you for a special purpose; don’t allow people who don’t know how to handle that; derail you!!

#2. That if you want to know who is really in your corner; break something!

Wow, this was a real challenge for me that I didn’t even sign up for! But hey, I made it through!!

Being a single mom with a broken ankle-foot; was absolutely no fun! That is a story in itself! I have never been one to have a large number of friends; weirdly, I like it that way.  But I really found out during this challenge that the small number I thought I had was just a mirage! Sisterhood is something I have always enjoyed writing about because it is being flung around like an old high school jersey.  When will women really take a stand and unite for the greater good? Friendship seems like a thing of the past; that has been replaced for networking and somebody’s next come up! How far can you get me up the ladder? Who are you connected to; that I can connect with? Is that what we have been reduced to? It’s time to change that circle; maybe expand it out a little bit….

#3. That NO MATTER WHAT GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL.…..

Look you don’t have to believe it; or in HIM. But when I tell you 2017 has been thus far one of the most challenging years for ME. My life could’ve gone so many different ways with the obstacles, challenges, trials and tribulations that came my way; BUT GOD, kept me through every last one! When people walked away; HE still had my bad! When people told me no; HE said YES!

So you see; this is just a couple of the things that 2017 has taught me and I am so very excited to still be here and I am eagerly awaiting  to see what 2018 has in store! What about you?

What has 2017 taught you?

What have you learned?

And what will you change going forward?
