When You Believe in The Big Picture…Written by Tamara D McCarthy

When you believe in the mission and vision of what God has given you! Baby let me tell you! There is a feeling that comes over you that you just can’t shake….
For me this vision began back in 2010 while talking to the youth pastor of the church I was attending at the time. I thought my ministry was just going to involve single moms, because that was who I connected with, being one myself.

But let me say this God knew and saw the bigger picture! We has humans have such a hard time envisioning what God has in store for us and many times it will scare some and they drop the torch! The bigger picture is so much bigger than us and will require crazy faith that some just cant handle..or muster up!!

Some of us like playing it small. That may work for society and small minded people, but it doesn’t work for God! Look at it this way, you want the best for your life? You want the best education for your kids? You want a career that will pay all your bills and allows you to live comfortably? You want the cars, houses and respect from your peers, family and friends, right? This kind of life can’t come about playing it small, especially in today’s society and the world for many of us! You have to have faith! You have to see the bigger picture and God has to be in the mist; if you want to acquire this the right way!

When you want to help others live and obtain a better more fulfilling life your outlook will appear so much differently!

You don’t care so much about the cars, houses, clothes, jewelry, fake hair, nails done, feet done, etc. You see the bigger picture! If I can get my vision to become a reality and help others, then God will provide! God will see my heart and know that it is good and that I am fully capable at bringing his will to life.

Are we here to satisfy our own needs? Or the needs of others?

Are we here to judge and crush the minds of others? Or do we create dialogue to bridge any gaps to bring us all together?

Do you walk by a homeless person and give them the evil eye? Or do you stop and lend a helping hand?

Do you turn your nose up at people who are less fortunate? Or do you share and distribute what you have been blessed with?
Just the thoughts of a Single Mom on A Mission…

Submit To Me: #SpiritualSundays

Ephesians 5:21-23 says this “Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior”. (NIV)

Just the other day I happened to be watching a live FaceBook video and the topic was about Submission. Many women and men have a problem with this word and it can be just because they dont know the full meaning and how to apply it to their lives!

Now their were many singles on the live video asking questions about how do singles or how are singles going to submit? The key word here is “Single” and there are two types of Singles: Singles in the World and Singles in the Kingdom of God. Now if you know of another type of Single, please let me know and we can have a discussion about it.

Singles In The World:

Singles in the world will unknowingly submit to they boo, babe, baby daddy, boyfriend, man, in between, booty call, etc I think you get where I am coming from! The word of God calls for wives and husbands to Submit! It doesnt say girlfriend submit to your boyfriend! Why because He is Not Your Husband and You Are Not His Wife!! Many of us do this or have done it! When I was in the world I did it! Looking back I was so lost submitting to some idiot that wasnt my Husband, didnt embody the role of a Leader and wasnt even submissive to God! How as a Single do you believe that you are to submit to someone? Even if you say that you dont; you really are! Think about it! Look up the word submissive and look at your relationship and let that marinate.

Many of us women believe that when we abide my the rules and regulations of being with a man that he will somehow choose us to be his wife! We aren’t called to be submissive to just any man! But living in the world and doing worldy things then our minds and hearts as well as our spirit can become detached from what is the proper order.

Singles In The Kingdom of God:

Singles that know the word and live by the word; know that until our Husband or Wife comes along we are to be Submissive to God! Watching this live video I was in shock and disbelief that so many people were asking the question of Singles and Submission! First I was like you are single who are you trying to submit to! Then I was like Duh, you are to Submit to God; you’re Single, that should be simple! But guess what it wasn’t for them, why? Everyone that listens to a message isn’t on the same level! I wasn’t always on this level! I used to partake in the World, I used to reside their comfortably and was a Submissive Woman to lots of nonsense from Un-Submissive Men (or maybe the better word would be Boys) but let me tell you, When I got the Love of Jesus all up in my Soul, in my Spirit! I have never looked back!! Ephesians 5:25-27 “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any blemish, but holy and blameless”. (NIV)

Spiritually Speaking:

Wives! Future Wives! This is the type of man you want as Your Husband! Singles! We are to Submit to God! While We Are Single…We dont submit to Joe, Jerry, Jerald, Sarah, Jane, etc! Women and Men while you are prayerfully waiting we are to be about Our Heavenly Fathers Business! His will must be done! This is your time to prepare your mind, body, soul and spirit! You are here for a purpose. Do you know your purpose? Your purpose comes from God! Its not Man-Made….Purpose-driven people require discipline, determination, passion, integrity, relationships, etc.

I am a firm believer that when you take the right paths as directed by His Word! You allow the Holy Spirit in! You do your best at discerning every situation and your actions and reactions! That God will grant the desires of your heart and everything that you feel like you have been missing out in the world will become yours anyway! Husbands will find their wives! Wives will be found by their Husbands! Submit to God and everything will fall into place if You do as You should..Does that make sense? And let me add this our desires may be to small for God; He just has way more in store for us than we can even fathom! But guess what you have to be committed and submit!

The world has nothing on God! Nothing can out shine Him! Everything the world offers has a use by date, an expiration date; they have nothing that should be worth giving up your desires, dreams, purpose, life and potential of having God’s Best….

Will you submit or run?

Living In Someone Else’ World? Guest blogger—

Living in Someone Else’ World: Written by Eniola Olaosebikan
I remember many years ago, when I was a teenager, there was this guy who I seemed to be all over, and who I thought was all over me too until my ‘delusioned’ mind opened. This guy would tell me a lot of things which- I with a little fight and resignation to fate- would believe. A lot of times, 80% were negative, 5% perhaps a little true, and the remaining 15% all about his own supposed awesomeness.

Prior to meeting him, I’d read quite a number of books about love; but you see- the test of life really does not care about how much you know, but how much you can efficiently put to good use when the storm arrives. This guy would tell me how very thin I was (even though I was nothing but petite, healthy, very beautiful; full of life and ambition) and how lucky I was to have him. He would then go on a self-rant of righteousness, telling me, and perhaps himself- how tall, dark and handsome he is. He was my first boyfriend- my first love experience outside family and I quite foolishly believed everything he said hook, line and sinker.

This guy despite the things that are good about me would only point me to the bad, or better still, the one he sees as bad in his own eyes. And sad enough, I would believe him with a sense of urgency, and as a result, would do all I could so as to be right in his eyes. I would eat a lot, and even binge, just to look good in his eyes; I would literally work my butt off to satisfy and normalize the things he said were ‘bad’ about me, but no matter how much I did, how much weight I put on, he just seemed not to see it. And times it became too obvious to ignore, he would go to the next thing ‘wrong’ and nag and nag about it till it goes and another one surfaces.

Essentially, almost all my teenage life, I lived in his world. His words virtually became my final destination- what I rested on and accepted as my truth. Anything he said, I tried to show a defiance in his face but alone in my room, I’m ‘chewing’ over the words, sad a bit and accepting them as my truth.

Everything bad he said about me seemed normal and true until quite some years later, I met another man who felt so insulted I thought I was thin and as a result- unattractive. I was quite shocked. I thought that was the way I looked to everybody because up to that moment, I’d seen the world through the first guy’s eyes without any questioning. For what seemed to be the first time, I thought twice and I saw myself in a different light. Quite sad it took me having both men at different points and stages in my life to determine what my truth would be and to realize I was being fed lies all along. Meeting the second guy and talking with him for the few moments we shared changed my perspective, and then I personally realized that someone’s thought of me doesn’t necessarily have to be my own thought of me!- Whoa! What a relief! I am not what anybody says I am- I am who I see myself to be, and most especially- who God says I am. I am beautiful, bold and courageous. If no one sees it, it’s my duty to see it and acknowledge it, never allowing anybody put me down because of what he or she sees or thinks about me.

For anyone currently going through a similar situation (perhaps in your place of work, family, friendship, relationship, etc), this would be my charge-

Nobody made you in the first place, so nobody is allowed to degrade you. If at all anybody wants to make you better, it should be done out of love and never in a way that makes you feel insecure about yourself. Do not allow anybody define who (they think) you are through their limited and stereotype way of seeing life.

• It might be time to check your life and check the voices speaking into your life, especially those you believe. It’s time to challenge every thought, voice and stronghold that exalts itself against the true knowledge of God in your life: voices that tells you all the things you are not and all the things God in His Graciousness and thoughtfulness has not created you to be. I dare you to take a closer look. You might think you have it all together, but might not really do. I thought I did too! Especially with the many ‘volumes’ of books I read about love and how it should be prior to my first unchallenged experience. Sometimes, in living in our own denial, we think we are living in the truth. I implore you not to fall a victim of living in someone else’ life and vision of/for you. Live in your own world- the world God created you to be in, and dominate it. Do not let another person’s world dominate and overwhelm the light of own world. Fill your world with the Word of God and the truth it says about you. Let it be your final destination.

Do not accept everything people says about you without challenging it (2 Corinthians 10:5 -AMP) lest they form strongholds in your life. Consciously choose the words you would accept from people as your truth and the ones you wouldn’t.

Any imagination that does not align with God’s thought of you is a stronghold and it should be pulled down no matter where it is coming from. Nobody has the right to pull you down. They never made you in the first place so why should they have such definitive power over you? He who made you says you are wonderfully and fearfully made- who dares says otherwise???

Do not be desperate for validation such that you would accept just anything from anybody. Know who you are by knowing who God says you are. Seek His will and view of you. Let Him be the only one whose approval matters; not what anyone who was also made says, and sometimes not what you yourself think. You are a treasure to the One who made you and He is not joking a bit about your life. You are the apple of His eyes!

• Above all, know that you are loved and cherished; you are worthy of being loved and living a great life. How do I know? Your birth tells me so. God fashioned you and made sure you were given birth to so He could showcase you as yet one of his many but unique masterpieces.

You are priceless to He that made you. You are royalty- think and carry yourself that way. Your father owns the world- Including the person pulling you down!

Conclusively, you are who and what God says you are, not who and what anybody says, especially the negative uncalled-for remarks.

If God says you are precious, then you are. Nothing else. Look into His Word and find out who you are. When you do, hold it at the center of your heart and do not let it go. If God says (like He says in Isaiah 60:3) that gentiles shall come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising- then He means it (as long as you follow Him closely and you do your part as commanded per time). To crown it up- let Joshua 1:8 be your guide. Do not let His Word depart from your mouth and heart. Meditate on it day and night and therein you shall find good success. Actively reading and Mediating on God’s Word allows you to know who you are and who God is too. You know His nature and how much of it you have in you…

You really should live in your world- the world God has decorated and specifically fashioned for you; and not someone else world or what he or she thinks primarily of you- good or bad. Know who you are for sure and accept nothing less.

With much love-

Eniola Olaosebikan

Are you Real, True and Authentic? #SpiritualSundays

Written by Tamara D. McCarthy, MBA

Lately the word Christian has been thrown around like it’s a basic word, like cat or dog! It seems like every bad thing that is said or done lately people are installing Christians into the mix! Why is that? The enemy is very creative and true to his schemes! He gets brand new every single time and people continue to fall for it and even play along.

              The Real Versus The Fake

Real Christians know it’s a daily struggle to continue down the road of being changed and saved. We know we were born flawed, we know we aren’t perfect, we know that when we do wrong we have to ask for forgiveness and stray from our wicked ways, thoughts and habits! Real Christians do their absolute best to abide by and Live by the Word of the Lord! (the bible)

Many people are saying that the Bible isn’t real it was created by slave masters to keep their slaves in check! Really? How does this verse here help the slave master keep a slave in check? “Hope in the LORD and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it”. Psalms 37:34

Being Authentic requires compassion, emphathy and love…When you’re Authentic you share your knowledge and wisdom with those that seek it out; as well as those that may not know at the time that they need it, but you share it anyways (plant those seeds) so when the time is right, they will be reminded of it! (Growth will take place)

Fake Christians will put up smoke screens and try to distort your vision, hopes and dreams! They will try to take those very seeds and destroy them and have you thinking that something is wrong with you!

Don’t believe the Hype….

Insomnia-#SpiritualSundays

Written by Angie Bee

Insomnia – Medicine Straight from God!
If you were to send this message to my two eldest daughters, they would read the title and be like “Neosporin?!”

You see, when they were toddlers and would get a cut on their fingers or their knees, I would whip out a band-aid and the tube of Neosporin and get to doctoring on them. “Mommy, is it going to hurt?” My reply “Nope! Not a bit! This is medicine straight from God!”
This morning, God woke me up in HIS time and gave me this portion to write for you. I couldn’t get to my computer fast enough to type it up, before His words left my head.

Insomnia. Let me explain:
I – Inspiration at

N – night is from the

SOM – Son Of Man

N – Never

I – Ignore the

A – Anointing
That right there is good stuff, ain’t it?! YES LORD! I hear you! When you are awakened several hours before you are expecting to arise, that is inspiration from God! Listen to His voice and be blessed by the anointing. I know that some of you are struggling with this concept but let me tell you what happened to me.

My husband wanted to stay up late and watch a movie on Sunday night, so I decided to stay up past my kept him company. I really wasn’t interested in the movie, but I remembered the scripture that said “It is not good for man to be alone” and I take that word literally! Sure enough, my precious hubby fell asleep on the couch before the opening credits could roll and there I was, glued to the TV screen watching the movie. I justified it by telling myself that I would tell him what he missed from his highly-anticipated movie. (lol!) Once it ended, I got us both snuggled up in the bed and drifted off to a much-desired slumber.

The next thing I know, I was immediately awakened! It amazed me how wide-awake I was; was I in pain? No. Was there a noise? No. Did I have to pee? No. Why was I squinting through the darkness while my husband snored blissfully? I grabbed by phone to check the time and discovered that it was about 4 am.

Some of us suffer from insomnia as a symptom of something else; medical or emotional conditions, pain, grief, etc. There are those of us that are angered by it and others are led to tears. This morning I was given a new reason for the insomnia that I occasionally live with… Insomnia is the night time inspiration from our Lord and you should never ignore the anointing!

On this particular morning/middle of the night, something led me to get out of the bed. I live with major depression and insomnia is one of my symptoms. My bedtime prescription regimen includes prayer, an anti-depressant and a sleeping medicine that generally keeps me in slumber for 7 or 8 hours. I had taken my meds before climbing in bed around 2 am, so I was really surprised to be awakened at 4am! Well, my husband’s alarm clock was going to start blaring at 6 am and I didn’t want to disturb him by tossing and turning, so I headed to my office.

I started typing and I typed and I typed and by 4 pm that afternoon… I had written a book. Even I was surprised! Yes, I took breaks during those 12 hours; I was really thirsty throughout the day, so I drank a lot of juice and water… and of course, I went to the bathroom a lot. I really wasn’t hungry at first, so I kept on typing and by the time the story got really good, I was too excited to stop the flow to go and eat! On one occasion, God was telling me to include a particular scripture and my belly began to growl. I said “God I hear you, what should I write next?” and the hunger dissipated! After about 30 pages were completed and the end of the book was apparent, my eyes began to get heavy. My husband returns home from work around 5:30 or 6 pm and dinner was just waiting to be heated up for him, so I decided to close my eyes for a minute. The next thing I knew, he was walking in the door coming home from work. “You been in bed all day, dear?” was his inquiry. Shaking my head at him, my response was “Nope, me and God wrote a book today!”.

Inspiration can come from anywhere, if you receive it. Inspiration to write a song, repair a heart, or challenge yourself. Inspiration can from from this story, but if you wait until there is a comfortable time for YOU to act on that inspiration you will miss an opportunity to grow and to share. Have you ever been in love with someone and it was not reciprocated? God is loving on you with the inspiration and when you ignore that opportunity, you are rejecting His love. Why do you think you get inspiration in the middle of the night or when you are all alone and not-distracted? He wants you all to himself so you can hear Him clearly – a jealous lover that wants to adorn you with inspiration! I know that some of us have to get up in the morning for work and you feel that insomnia can wreck havoc on your day, but let me tell you something… you are already awake, so why not use that gift that God gave you and accept the loving, restorative presence of God?

“A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great” Proverbs 18:16

The book entitled “In The Beginning there was God, Me & You! A true love story” will soon be introduced to the readers of #SpiritualSundays before debuting to the world. When The Winds of Change Have a FRESH New Smell: #SpiritualSundays Guest Blogger Angie Bee..

This was an exciting month for me and I couldn’t WAIT to share it with you! The TOUR that Angie BEE Presents kicked off our month with prayer, fasting and our first Community Business Showcase Workshop of the year. Our host was Pastor and First Lady Cassandra Jordan of Impact Church Daytona and we all had a simply wonderful time of fellowship.
I don’t believe it a “coincidence” that we started our 2017 outreach season reaching those in the community. A community is the foundation of growth, spirit and change and we can’t ignore it.

 Let me tell you why!
There are some communities in the world where food, shelter and medical treatment are not readily available to all. Other communities restrict an individual’s prayer life and in other places, you can’t even determine the size of your own family. The joy of gathering together, with families and in a house of worship was an honor! We talked about commerce, we prayed, we encouraged one another and the Spirit of the Lord arrived to bless us all.
The winds of change have a fresh new smell. Some church leaders discourage money “changing hands” in their sanctuary. Not the Impact Church Daytona… they accommodated the business owners as they networked. Some event leaders will charge an admission for attendees to be fed and “entertained” during an event. Not on this day as Impact Church Daytona provided our refreshments. Some presenters charge a “speaker’s fee” in order to share their lessons or testimony.

Not the members of The TOUR that Angie BEE Presents as we count it a honor to share the blessings of the Lord with others. Tahara Thompson spoke about her new business and shared her testimony about the goodness of the Lord. Attorney Regina Nunnally had us all in tears as she shared HER testimony of encouragement and endurance. As one of the newest members of The TOUR, even Chaconna Downs shared her experiences of love and change as she was celebrating her first year of residency in Volusia County. Change was all in the air for each of us, and I believe the winds will continue to blow!
The bible teaches us:

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8New Living Translation (NLT)
A Time for Everything

“For everything there is a season,   a time for every activity under heaven.A time to be born and a time to die.   A time to plant and a time to harvest.A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to cry and a time to laugh.  A time to grieve and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.  A time to embrace and a time to turn away.A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend.   A time to be quiet and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate.   A time for war and a time for peace”

There was a season to discourage free commerce in a place of worship. Now, it is understood that the marketplace leaders can not only fund a church, but they can enlarge the territory of a community.
Now is the time to birth a new business or endeavors as old ideas and visions can now die off. Start “pruning” those old, dead limbs of discouragement and frustration and cling to a new vine!
Plant new seeds in your family by introducing new concepts to your children and siblings.

Kill old habits and soul-ties and allow your heart to forgive and heal.
Scatter away any stones of doubt and worry and collect the stones of faith and trust!

Search the scriptures for the answers FIRST and stop resorting to the living word AFTER you have exhausted all other resources.
Keep the Lord’s voice in your ear and throw away the lies that the devil tried to tell you. Cry over those that are lost and don’t know the Lord and help mend their hearts by sharing your testimony with them.
Be still and quiet and know that HE is God and speak the love and blessings that He has allowed you to enjoy. Encourage peace in your home, on the job and in your community and pray for an end to war, famine, discord.
There is a time for everything and change is in the atmosphere. Share this word and your heart with another as God continues to blow the winds of change our way.

Much love and BEE Blessed!

Repack Your Bags: #spiritualsundays written by Guest Blogger-Tarsha Campbell

I recently took a trip that required I take an airline flight to reach my destination. Anyone that knows me, or have ever traveled with me, knows I travel with a lot of stuff! As I was checking in for my flight I was asked to place my bags on the scale to weigh my luggage. To my surprise I was told my bags exceeded the allotted luggage and weight limit, and I would have to pay for the additional bags based on the weight of each bag. Next I received an even greater shock when I was told the fee I would have to pay was close to a $100 (nearly half the cost of my airline ticket)! As you might have guessed it, I wasn’t a “happy camper”. “Why didn’t anyone tell me about these additional fees for my extra baggage?” Needless to say, I lived, and definitely learned, from this incident. From here on out, I’m traveling light…at least when I fly.

I want to pose to you a question, are you traveling light? Personally speaking, I’m finding as I fly higher in life, on my way to my divine purpose and destiny, there are just some things I will have to leave behind. These things must be left behind because they simply will cost me to much to carry it with me. This can sometimes be easier said than done, mainly because the stuff I want to take with me make me feel more secure and comfortable, even though I might have outgrown them.

How about you? Do you sense in your heart God wants to take you higher, but you have to many things weighing you down? If so, I want to encourage you to repack your bags and travel light, because in this new season there are some things you can do without. Here’s a list of several things you can unpack:

• Dump financial and emotional debt

• Get rid of fruitless paradigms

• Eradicate negative associations

• Sever harmful soul ties

Your Next Step Coaching For Success Minute:

• Take time to identify the areas in your life where you have excess baggage

• Make a commitment to yourself to lighten your load within the next 1-4 weeks

• Celebrate as you ascend higher
