Vision Board Party Reflections: Does Your Vision Match Your Character, Image and Outlook?

Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry”. Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NKJV)

How many of us give up before we allow our prays to be answered?

You’ve been praying for years to get married! You post sticky notes all over the house, reminding yourself of what he will look like and act like and then 1 year goes by and you give up!

You have settled for a guy that doesn’t line up with anything you’ve been praying for and guess what he doesn’t even want to marry you!

He just wants to kick it, hang out; Netflix and chill!!! Why? All because you can’t wait….
How many of you can relate to that scenario? How many of you will do the same thing and not allow your prayers to manifest?

Vision has many different meanings and depending on how you look at it; you will get a different outcome. Agreed?

You can look at something or someone with your natural eye and you can also look with your spiritual eye! Are you following along? Your natural eye will show you everything you need to see instantly, right? But, your spiritual eye is going to show you and spark a completely different visual of the same object or individual but in a whole different light! Does that make sense?

Let me explain it this way. You are looking to advance your career and you have sent out lots of resumes and are starting to get interviews lined up with some pretty good companies! Some are okay but others are great and you could really do well if chosen by the right company!

You begin to see yourself in each of these positions, the day to day begins to play out in your head and how your interactions will be. Some of the jobs may present a promotion and some may not! You can see this by researching the companies and reviewing their history. You are visualizing what you perceive your future will be and what company could be the right fit for you!

Many of us take it a step further and will look for and find many ways to visualize what we want our life to look like!

We will put together a personal vision statement! We may even come up with a personal mission statement!

Whatever we have to do that will keep us on track to bringing our thoughts and vision to life!

What better way to visualize your vision; than a vision board? Have you completed a vision board before? Why are vision boards important?

It’s simple! A vision board is a constant visible and visual reminder of the goals, hopes and dreams that You want for your life!

Many of us need a constant reminder of what we are working towards because of all the distractions in the world and our lives.

Many of us are moms, wives, business owners and with so much going on; stuff can get placed on the back burner of our minds!

But not only is a vision board good but so is the party! Now who doesn’t like to party? Who doesn’t like arts and crafts?

Who doesn’t like fellowship and meeting up with like-minded individuals? Women especially this is good to further advance friendship and sisterhood!

You don’t have to know each person in the room but before the end of the night you should!

For some odd reason women find it hard to interact with other women! They find it hard to compliment and appreciate another woman!

Some women are always looking for reasons why they don’t like another woman. You may be reading this and asking yourself “How did she go from talking about vision, vision boards, vision board parties and get to women not liking each other”?

Well let me tell you! My vision, my purpose and my passion; is to help create and foster better relationships with women for themselves as well as with other women!

We weren’t created or called to hate or look down on each other! That is a learned behavior! A learned behavior that has to be dismantled piece by piece!

So in creating a vision board you want to create a complete visual! Not only materialistic things!

But your personal aspirations as well! If you look again at the picture of my vision board created yesterday at a Vision Board Party that I attended.

You will see the various colorful outfits that Oprah is pictured in. I loved this image first because of all the colors and also what jumped out at me was Oprah was consistent!

She is smiling, happy and full of life in each pose! The only thing that changed was the color of the dress!

We as women lack consistency! We lack standards! We lack respect! We lack love! We lack discipline! We lack so much and are so stuck that it keeps us from advancing! We need to become whole! We need to create unity and have better relationships with one another!

Stop looking at other woman as trying to steal what you have or what you are trying to get! Your attitude, the way you operate and carry yourself throws it away!

I will not apologize for being passionate about something that is dear to me! The very thing I am writing about; I have had to experience! The hate from other women who don’t even know me! Don’t want to get to know me! But want to judge me!

We have to do better! You represent you! How do you want people to see you? What do you stand for? Who do you represent? You have to be consistent! You come out the door dressed from head to toe! Rocking the best money can buy; but how you carry yourself and how you interact and respond to others; doesn’t add up!

Vision is important! How do you want to be visualized?
